I thought that our purchases were being tracked earlier this year when the first talk of the rewards program surfaced. (During Toy Fair in February? I can't remember.) But since it's just now getting unveiled I think that they may have had to adjust the time frame for which past purchases will count. They certainly have records of our purchases going back as long as they want, but they can only reasonably give us credit back to a certain point without going bankrupt. I know that we will only be getting credit for a purchase after 30 days have passed and the window for returning it is no longer open, so it will have to go back at least more than a month if we will be starting with some credit in our accounts.

For me, the last half of the year has been filled with the less expensive 12" figures, while the first half had a lot of PFs and other more expensive pieces like the 1/4 scale Vader and the final two LOTR rider and steed pieces. I hope that it goes back as far as possible, although I recognize that it would be very easy for them to just start tracking them next month when the program officially begins. Any retroactive credit we get will just be a nice bonus!

If its credit I hope it works on pre-orders or it may not do me too much good. Most of the stuff I buy sells out before it comes in stock...

Most of my big spending was during the heyday of LOTR items -- 2002-to mid 2005 (and am just now getting my CC back in fighting form). But I doubt very much they would be able to go back that far and still stay financially viable. I do hope that whatever method (credit, $$ off) that they use, it won't be for only in-stock items. That's what's keeping me from using the 2 gift cards I've got right now...there's nothing they've got in stock I'm really interested in.

But you know what? I've looked on all the freebie t-shirts, hats, mugs, catalogues, and keychains, as well as contests, chat quests and contests, Spooktaculars, and other events that they've been doing all along as a rewards kind of thing anyway. Don't know many companies (if any) who've shown their appreciation for their customers as frequently and consistently as Sideshow. (yeah...call me a fangurl :balrog ) For me, this rewards program is just icing on an already delicious cake.

It may not be going back as far as some people like but it will be in place when Jabba hits so that works for me.

I really am stoked they are doing this. It's a great idea. Obviously we all hope as many of our purchases are included, but I think it's generous of them to include ANY prior purchases. Like others... I have the entire Jabba set, many 12" on pre-order and a PF Fett as well. So it's gonna be great for me!

My only request is that the program credits apply to preorders.

Hopefully, they'll include some prior purchases, but it's probably not financially viable for them (and I say this as someone that's spent at least $5k with Sideshow- and that's just direct. It doesn't include preorders still to come plus Ebay & dealer purchases.)

Will start in November with long time collectors seeing an immediate reward with rewards points awarded to them from shipments that have shipped the past few months.

Loki, where did you get this info from? Since nobody else asked, I though I would.

Hmmm if it is recently shipped items, I pray it covers things like the August onslaught and the preordered Jabba and co.

I'm very interested to see how many points I've accumulated just over the last six month's:monkey5
