Well, we are going to have to do math one way or the other, whether ten dollars spent gets you a point, or you can redeem ten points for one dollar off your purchase. Since I was not a math major, I predict that I shall be confused at least three times before successfully redeeming a point.
Tom, to save you the trouble, just give me all your points! :lol

So when are we supposed to get more details, Thurs ya think or is that too soon? I just wanna know becase I just bought a bunch of stuff and am eager to see what kind of points I get. This is an awesome idea, I almost canceled my Ghost Rider pre-orders to pre-order them from DSC for abut 10-15 bucks cheaper, but I'd rather spend the extra cash and get points I can use later down the line. Way to snag sales from retailers SS! But it works, I'm all for this! I'm ready to drop some other pre-orders I have with other online dealers just to get more points.

Something tells me next weeks news letter will have all the details. SS is still probably trying to recover from the past 5 days.

I seriously hope they go as far back as January.

:monkey2 Loki I'm scared....

It's OK Dannie, I'll hold you. :monkey3

But since I started collecting in January, I do too.

I might be reading too much into it, but on the rewards page beneath the briefcase chock full o' money it says, "Earn rewards points for every dollar spent". I dunno if that's poorly worded (no offense to whoever wrote it!) or if it literally means at least two points for each dollar.

Maybe redemption will be like at Chuck E. Cheese. 500 points wil get you a free Froud fairy. And 10,000 points will get you a free Boba Fett PF.

Yeah points can be given in any amout since they can change what you need to get the item. Look at Airline miles, you get I mile for each mile flown, but you need 25,000 or more for a ticket anywhere.

is there a newsletter this week?

I'd be surprised if we didn't get a news letter this week. I don't expect too much in it, but I still expect one.

I'm trying not to get my hopes up that the Rewards Program will cover all items shipped in 2006, but with how much money I've given SS this year it sure would be nice.

They had better go back until at least 2003 when I started collecting or I'm cancelling everything and I hate everybody and it's not fair!!!!! :crying :censored :computer :taz :cuss :baicon6:

PS. I've never thrown an on-line temper tantrum before. :D

I hope for everyone elses sake they do go back a long time. I am not to worried since my first purchase was at SDCC, but I still want it to go back further for my fellow freaks.

If they don't include every order made since the Cretaceous, I'm going to be severely disappointed. :censored :taz

:duh :wacky

Something tells me it'll be the beginning of July or August of this year. I'm not getting my hopes up for all of 2006.

I'm just going to hazard a guess and say that even if you gave me rewards points credit for all of my purchases dating back to January 2006, that I would still not have enough to pay for all of the free items I have received from Sideshow throughout my time as a fan and customer. They already do WAY more than anybody else in their industry (just look at how much stuff they gave away in the last week), and this program is just a nice bonus on top of that. Of course, we all want as many retroactive points as possible when it kicks off, but even if I start off with zero points in my account, I will still have a veritable shelf of free Sideshow stuff to comfort me. :D

I wonder if this rewards program will create rampant scalping.

People that normally would pass on certain things may pick it up for an easy low profit (or no profit/break even) flip just to get the points.

Agreed. I too think it should AT LEAST go back to January since that is when they first teased us about the program. Back to the begining would be best, but as you stated ANY retro points is great.

Seeing as how I received my first figure from Sideshow Direct in July, I think it may apply to me :D
