Alien/Blade Runner/Legend to Gladiator/Black Hawk Down was 15 years. So it seems like every 15 years he cranks out a few solid flicks, he's about due if he still has it. I guess we'll find out with this one. If it flops, he can't blame the script like with Prometheus, the book was well received.

I love all of Ridley Scott's sci fi films including Prometheus. So i have my high expectations for this.

He blamed the script on Prometheus? He actualy admitted it has problems? Wow

Is Louis Gossett Jr on the planet with him?

The Peter Weyland TED talk gave me chills. That was insanely cool. As was the David 8 introduction.

Nice little viral video. I haven't read the book but I am looking forward to this. Loved the shout out to Ginos at the end. That's damn good deep dish pie. Makes me want to go to Chicago and get some.

Terrific trailer. We've been blessed with great science fiction films that attempt to stay grounded in real science with Gravity and Interstellar. Now comes The Martian and it seems this trend continues. I love that HERMES spaceship by the way.

Visually it looks great, (like all of Scott's films) but I don't trust anything Ridley Scott makes, especially these days. In my opinion, he's only made one great film, a few good ones, and and plenty horrible. Hopefully this turns out well.
