Do you remember this line you wrote?...No apples and oranges here...You just described Vader and the Emperor, Loki or anyone else...So only for Tolkien you dont like this pose for an evil lord?...that's stupid or just being very very particular IMHO...

Why are you picking a fight over nothing? My post reads THE lord of evil, obviously referring to Sauron. Had I been referring to all lords of evil I would've typed A lord of evil.

I already figured out where this and Sauron and company will go ... sorry if it will look like a herofication of evil Tolkien Characters when I will photo em

Not picking a fight...but just am curious...If it was the Emperor or any lord of evil from some other realm would you feel the same?...just curious...that's all...If not then you must have something personal against Sauron or Tolkien and I'd be curious as to why...If you treated all Lords of evil equally this way I'd say ok...because for myself personally if I felt that way about one dark lord I would be compelled to feel that way about all of them...but that's just me

Look forward to seeing your pics. I might get cases made for these two since they really won't be fun to dust. Then have them setting on a small table showing off the awesomeness of both pieces.

My display will be a 1/4 scale display with Sauron in center,ROS on the right with ML on left...I will display 1/4 Busts of Twilight WK, Gilgalad,Isildur,Elendil,Elrond,High Elf and Numen soldier,Horse,Ringwraith and Mouth of Sauron in front...oh plus Weta Barad-dur

No, I would not feel the same because they are completely different worlds/universes. The meaning of evil is different. In middle-earth, evil is an unbalanced creation that traces back to the beginning of time. It was never meant to exist. Sauron should be seen less as an entity with selfish goals and more an untamed force with no ambition.

LOL...ok then that explains it much better...If you think Sauron was bad wait till you look at Melkor/Morgoth...Sauron wanted Allegience mostly while Morgoth wanted total consumption and was never satisfied ...huge difference...what kills me about that painting in a Volcanic landscape is that it reminds me of Vader and the Emperor and the end of ROTS...They could be standing the same way in that painting and it would look so cool IMHO

I can't seem to find this definition of tasteless with regards to art, can you point me to a link or reference in some dictionary? I tried searching but I can only find references to the traditional use of the word.

This is true. It's not like we don't have a ton of great items coming that only expand a growing and great looking Middle-earth collection.

Too true. There are many great LotR items whatever your preference may be. Next few years will see a major resurgence so this is just the beginning. Good time to be a ringer.

Indeed any extra funds are all going towards these types of products. Gonna have to backtrack for everything else down the road.

One thing I like about this piece is how the pose is quite a bit different than the SSW piece, so owning both won't feel like two attempts at the same image.

I did think we'd have a bit more news about this rumored Cave Troll PF by now. They even hinted at it a while back during that "news on Cave Troll or Juggernaut" vote they did.
