l do not think so. swords and bow and arrows versus plasma cannons does not seem fair.
that's how the legends of dragons were formed, they were actually predators.

How so? Saving Private Ryan was a fictional story and I don't think that was at all, disrespectful to the 2nd BN Rangers. That's like saying Titanic was disrespectful to everyone who sunk. So long as it doesn't poke fun at real soldiers, I think just about any backdrop would be fine. I really like the WWII Pacific front, it allows jungle, makes perfect sense for Preds hunting elite and would be great to see them with older tech. Hell, even a Vietnam prequel would be good too.
Saving private Ryan wasn't entertainment, it tried very hard to give you a gruesome experience because that's what war is, gruesome. Predator movies are pure entertainment. The problem is in MY OPINION that this generation is getting desensitized with WW2 trough all this mixing nazi's with science fiction etc..in modern day pop-culture. This is just all my opinion ofcourse.
glad members are agreeing. see l new l had some good movie ideas. anyway nam would be even better actually since the pacific islands were small. but l think this idea would ROCK as a pred movie. l got to start getting a script together.
A predator in the Viking-age would be cool though.
Wasn't there a movie a year ago that was pretty much that? A spaceship crashes on earth, and the cargo (an alien monster) escapes and terrorizes the local Vikings? Can't for the life of me remember the title of it, though...

Goddamit! I'm still trying to forget that piece of ____! Didn't it star Adrian Brody as well? Or was it that English Patient dude? It's the one where he's from some far away galaxy and chases a monster to some planet with Iron Age humans. Jesus what a turd.
In 709 DC, in the Iron Age, a spacecraft crashes in the Viking kingdom of Herot, Norway, and the pilot Kainan survives. He turns the beacon on; learns the language and culture of the planet using a machine; and finds that the predator, Moorwen, that he was transporting, had escaped.
Outlander with James Caviezel (Jesus).
You can have a more primitive predator that works more with spears and wristblades.
I dont know about those vikings, but I'd love to see a predator hunting around those 17 hundreds, like where Greyback got his pistol from. More of a pirate hunting
That was revealed in the Predator comics.
I think the Elder from Predator 2 should make a re-apperance! I know they are ignoring Pred 2, but a reason for a HT rehash and a cool closing scene
