How so? Saving Private Ryan was a fictional story and I don't think that was at all, disrespectful to the 2nd BN Rangers. That's like saying Titanic was disrespectful to everyone who sunk. So long as it doesn't poke fun at real soldiers, I think just about any backdrop would be fine. I really like the WWII Pacific front, it allows jungle, makes perfect sense for Preds hunting elite and would be great to see them with older tech. Hell, even a Vietnam prequel would be good too.

Saving private Ryan wasn't entertainment, it tried very hard to give you a gruesome experience because that's what war is, gruesome. Predator movies are pure entertainment. The problem is in MY OPINION that this generation is getting desensitized with WW2 trough all this mixing nazi's with science fiction etc..in modern day pop-culture. This is just all my opinion ofcourse.

I think it adds to it as Nazi's were pioneering with their science

Dont sweat it, if this film turns out bad I think Fox will put the Predator franchise to sleep, for a while at least.

Wasn't there a movie a year ago that was pretty much that? A spaceship crashes on earth, and the cargo (an alien monster) escapes and terrorizes the local Vikings? Can't for the life of me remember the title of it, though...

It wasnt that bad lol. I was surprised at the effects for such a low budget.

I also read the script today for the fourth time. I still love it. I actually missed a part when I read it once, but this scene is badass.

It's towards then end, Royce Izzy, and Edwin, Vs. Black and his Falcon. It's sweet.
