Hey Stevo. thanks for the kind words buddy The statue behind my 1/4 Scale MK1 is the custom 1/2 Scale version of it by the company The Arts Department in the Philipphines. Still happens to be one of, if not my favourite custom piece in my collection. If you can imagine how detailed the 1/4 scale version looks well the 1/2 scale is just as movie accurate

My biggest collecting regret was selling my Mk1 maquette, even though the helmet never stayed up I loved it. Seriously nice pick up.

Yea, totally agree and something which i need to take onboard myself as i feel i've been buying something literally every week! I'm also a firm believer of less is more (especially when it comes to displaying) sadly i havent reached that part yet but once i've finally set up my mancave then i'll be forced to sell at least 50% of my collection i reckon...it's gonna kill me but its got to be done Having everything all cluttered together is just a no-no as i feel having various statues overlapping each other just takes away the attention from those pieces that need to be singled out in my opinion

Just love Fridays! Hey everyone, here's a few update pics of a piece which i've had in my collection for a number of years but sadly never got to enjoy due to sitting inside it's shipping box Sadder still is that i'll not even have the chance to display it as it was sold abt a week ago...i decided to part with this piece for a few reasons. The original plan was to have this Comic Iron Man Comiquette as my representation of Iron Man in my Comic Avenges display alongside the Original Hulk PF, The OG Thor PF and of course the OG Captain America PF. The wholesome foursome make for an epic display...you've probably already seen this pic

However, with the announcement and design concept teaser of the upcoming Comic Iron Man 1/4 Scale Statue by XM Studios

i decided that i would'nt have space for 2 Comic Iron Man pieces in my collection plus i managed to sort out a great deal for the Comiquette which really surprised me as i didnt realise the EX was so sought after. So i managed to take some final pics of the piece before i shipped it out. As this was only the second time i got to see this piece inhand, i was actually having doubts as to whether to let it go or not the paint apps were actually fantastically done aswell as the iconic Tony Stark portrait which was just nailed by Sideshow. To be fair, the only part of this piece which let itself down in my opinion was that i'd have loved for him to be in a more dynamic pose maybe or if it was to have a museum pose then get rig of that flag! Just not a fan at all of the flag and was probably my main reason for allowing this piece to go...

With that said, all in all....its a great representation of the Comic Iron Man Enjoy the pics and thanks for looking

Another update guys and this one is for a piece that i'd almost given up on due to the rediculous prices of the secondary market...it's the Iron Man MKI 1/4 Maquette by Sideshow Collectibles. Infact, another reason why i had almost given up on it was because i also have my custom 1/2 scale MKI statue aswell and that one is literally one of my favourite pieces in my entire collection. However, things change i guess and with the announcement from Sideshow of new 1/4 scale Iron Man related maquettes such as the MKII, III, V, MKVII, MK42 and Iron Patriot...i kinda reassesed the situtation and thought it would be cool to have the MKI represented in my collection but in 1/4 scale to go with all the others

Thankfully, i had fellow freak Hed Honcho aka Ben to help out a brother in distress and he kindly sold me his one which was a great transaction by the way so for those ever buying from Ben, rest assured you'll be in great hands!

So not much to say about the MKI maquette that you probably dont already know. These days it's considered to be an Iron Man grail in the world of collectibles and you can certainly see why when you see how much detail has gone into the piece. This one i have is the regular version...i actually had the opportunity to purchase the exclusive alternate portrait which has the removable faceplate to reveal Tony Stark's face but the seller was asking something like $450 for it and to be fair, i'm not actually a massive fan of that particular portrait anyway so i decided to decline and just stick with the regular portrait.

So here it is guys...the Iron Man MKI 1/4 scale Maquette by Sideshow Collectibles

Wow that looks insanely good! Congrats on your new museum full of customs. This is now the best collection I've seen. So much awesome stuff here now and so many more on the way. I would vote for your collection for top collector. Simply amazing!
