Looks great Andy, but who made the other MV 1 statue that is behind it? It
Congrats on your latest IM staue Andy! Love the retro look to it. Awesome collection buddy.
nice pairing andy big dude and little dude,is that a 1/3 scale at the back?....and I've looked everywhere in the pics, but no sign of any Jaffa cakes
Looks great Andy! Especially paired with you're 1:2 scale! Am glad he's gone to a good home
Amazing! Congrats my friend! I'm glad to say I "inspired" you a little!
Now.. the hunt for MKVI again?
Big, BIG congrats my friend, it's the one must of sideshow!
Really nice pick up. this was actually my 1st sideshow piece back in the day . Really awesome detail
My biggest collecting regret was selling my Mk1 maquette, even though the helmet never stayed up I loved it. Seriously nice pick up.
Thanks for the kind words buddy would you ever consider picking the MKI up again? I know the secondary market prices are'nt kind but sometimes there are deals to be had....plus i dont feel the EX is essential either
Nope wouldnt pick it up again. Ive stopped collecting Marvel. Going with the less is more nowadays
That's awesome.
Now you need a HOA Bay for it
Yeah i hate statues blocking others, it just looks like a mess. That's why i display my collection like i do. Also i was going to say "Mancave?" thing would have to be as big as the Trafford Centre.
Er....well, infact your now one great piece down thanks to me! Dont worry, i'll look after him mate
Best Iron Man statue EVER! Don't give a crap what anyone else says.
No Jay! I have the best Iron Man statue waiting for me at home!!!
Noooooooooo! Don't be saying that now i've sold it.
What a generous gift Jay hahahaha
Another update guys and this one is for a piece that i'd almost given up on due to the rediculous prices of the secondary market...it's the Iron Man MKI 1/4 Maquette by Sideshow Collectibles. Infact, another reason why i had almost given up on it was because i also have my custom 1/2 scale MKI statue aswell and that one is literally one of my favourite pieces in my entire collection. However, things change i guess and with the announcement from Sideshow of new 1/4 scale Iron Man related maquettes such as the MKII, III, V, MKVII, MK42 and Iron Patriot...i kinda reassesed the situtation and thought it would be cool to have the MKI represented in my collection but in 1/4 scale to go with all the others
Thankfully, i had fellow freak Hed Honcho aka Ben to help out a brother in distress and he kindly sold me his one which was a great transaction by the way so for those ever buying from Ben, rest assured you'll be in great hands!
So not much to say about the MKI maquette that you probably dont already know. These days it's considered to be an Iron Man grail in the world of collectibles and you can certainly see why when you see how much detail has gone into the piece. This one i have is the regular version...i actually had the opportunity to purchase the exclusive alternate portrait which has the removable faceplate to reveal Tony Stark's face but the seller was asking something like $450 for it and to be fair, i'm not actually a massive fan of that particular portrait anyway so i decided to decline and just stick with the regular portrait.
So here it is guys...the Iron Man MKI 1/4 scale Maquette by Sideshow Collectibles
