So I take it there isn't going to be a "Clarence Brodicker" type character in this? I assume that's the case since this Murphy gets blown to bits by a car bomb (which I assume was rigged by OCP and Keaton).

Keaton can't be the only villain in this, unless this movie makes him Brodicker and **** Jones into one.

I hadn't thought of that , Keaton could be sorely lacking if he's the only villain up against robocop.

Then again who can beat Boddicker for sheer cheesy badassness ?

I dunno, the film looks pretty good from the first trailer.
It's got a great cast and it seems to not be a direct rehash. I'm looking forward to it now.

Yeah, by a great trailer if you mean cheesy dated special effects and cheesemo acting. Only Abbey Cornish looks promising. Keaton and Jackson bring up the cheesemo factor to cheesemo levels that haven't been seen since, well... the cheesemo himself, fill-in-the-blank who you consider that to be. For me, it's the Cage.

This isn't worth going through the trouble of finding a bootlegged recorded version on the internet

Although I can't see this being nearly as bad as Total Recall.

I never said it was a great trailer, I said it looked pretty good, great would be going too far.
And yes it looks cheesy, it's a movie about a man/robot at the end of the day.

Yes, but the Iron Man trailers were pretty much the same principle, but the production value of those trailers made it look believable and fun. This just looks plain awful. What are you seeing?

I just see awful CGI and a ridiculous suit with an exposed hand, which looks awkward in design. Also, aspects of the suit look like a good cosplay costume with lack of continuity. By that I mean the exposed hand, and the 80's looking visor. In the end, there isn't much of this I have seen that looks promising. But hey, who knows this could be a great flick. I mean we have seen great looking trailers, and had our hopes up... only to have them dashed. Just look at any Roland Emmerich produced movie and check out those trailers. Even 10,000 BC looked intriguing. Hopefully this has a reverse effect from those films.

There wasn't enough of it though, Spring Breakers seems to fulfill those needs, but haven't seen it though to confirm.
