You have quite the fixation for Mendelsohn, have you erected an altar to worship him yet?

I don't know about an altar...

He was good in this INXS music video from the mid-'90s. (Also features Kate Fischer of Sirens fame, for those interested - and Chrissie Hynde on guest vocals!)

Maybe it was always a rental and I was fooling myself into thinking I'd see it in the theaters.:dunno

You can't blame him for assuming the worst, though, right? The combination of nerd vendettas, attention whores, agenda posters and contrarian ******* makes it really difficult to pick out an honest, dissonant opinion. :lol

Anyone of yAll at least happy to see new gfx and OT stuff on the big screen?

Other than that odd dialogue with Dark Vader:

Empire dude: I'm in charge here
Vader: Do you feel in charge?
Empire dude: I gave you the Death Star.
Vader: And this gives you power over me?

I don't know, I feel like I've heard that somewhere else.

Other than that, I liked the trailer.

I don't care about wannabe Thrawn dude. Mads Mikkelsen is a sexy beast, tho.

Re: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (12/16/16)

TDKR is the only thing I know the actor from so I've been somewhat confused by the hype surrounding him. I must have skipped some popular TV show he's been in. Having only seen TDKR in which he's even shorter than midget Bane and gets killed by him after having a tantrum I'm currently having a hard time seeing him as a 'big bad' in Rogue One. But I guess he'll do well, people seem to have confidence in him.
He's well known in Australia, but he's been small time for years, till his breakthrough in Hollypoop (whenever that was).

The most anticipated piece of the film IMO is OT visuals

Seeing the Death Star again will be glorious, every time I watch A new hope I just watch the scenes involving them.

All the older ships / transports along with Storm Troopers & Vader. They may not be 100% what folks expect but I'm down for updated versions.

It's hard not to, 95% of the trailer is full of explosions

Awww man. I bet they had to do so much of this cheating. Having said that Hardy still played Bane very well.

Thanks. I can confirm I haven't seen any of these.

Get on that yesterday. He's incendiary in like, all of them.

Tarkin?

I don't love TFA like I do the OT but I also don't hate it like I do the PT, it sits in a comfortable middle.

This movie looks to be better.

Having watched the trailer (again) ... I think this film could carry a little more dramatic weight if well-acted and well-written, in the sense that we know the ultimate outcome -- plans stolen and transmitted -- but don't have any solid information on the fates of these characters. Pretty much guaranteed that some of them aren't making it out of this film, unclear if *any* will although that seems maybe too dark for the Mouse.

But you never know, the Mouse is regularly a parent-murdering rodent in kids' films. Finding Nemo opened with the death of a mother and 399 unborn children.
