You know, it wasn't until I saw the X-Wing footage in that last trailer that I remembered.... We should have a pretty spectacular dogfight in this.... Remember ANH's crawl...? "Rebel spaceships striking from a hidden base" and all that.... The "spies" are doing their stuff while the fighters "Win their first major victory".....

Agreed Darkseed. I'm glad R1 Star Destroyer ships are actually the design used in ANH. Yeah the DS is a beautiful deadly site to see. Or something like that.....

I'm curious to find out who the X-Wing pilot that is featured in the trailer is.

I really like the looks of the movie. In my opinion, it will be better than TFA.

I like the tone set in the trailers better...it's called Star Wars.......so I hope it's more inline with a war type film

I don't care about wannabe Thrawn dude. Mads Mikkelsen is a sexy beast, tho.

If there is one thing I'm looking forward to, it's Hannibal and the Bloodline guy interacting with one another. Two really good actors. One thing I'm not looking forward to is Darth Vader. I imagine fan service and awkward attempts at shoehorning references to other films and foreshadowing future films in the time he appears. But maybe they'll surprise and make it interesting.

I don't love TFA like I do the OT but I also don't hate it like I do the PT, it sits in a comfortable middle.

It's in the middle for me too, only I put TFA/ROTJ/ROTS roughly in the same league. Find it hard to separate them.

As for RO, my interest is on about the same level as Rebels, i.e. not much. I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised.

Is anyone here over 35 and are willing to admit they're excited?

I am 35 and sadly not excited despite my love for Star Wars. I watched the trailer and didn't get the same "feeling" when I saw any of the Force Awakens characters. I really don't think it has anything to do with the original characters being in the TFA either nor do i think it is burn out. I am extremely excited for VIII. I just don't get a star wars feel for Rogue One and Forest Whittaker takes me out of it even more. I hope I am wrong and that I end up loving it.

If it weren't for what came before, TFA would probably rate higher, just that its unoriginality lets it down. The prequels were more original, if more poorly made.
