At the time most here were fans of TFA. I guess it's a case of it's cool not to like it now.

Nah that's not accurate because the people voicing their complaints against the movie have done so since opening night.

People said it was a copy of ANH but people had to go see it multiple time for it to make that much money and I don't know about you but if I don't like a movie I don't see it twice.

but yes it's a good poster ruined by too many characters stuffed in it

I have to say I'm more excited about the Rogue One movie more then I am about the continuing Skywalker saga, 7-9, since this will tie into A New Hope but with a bunch of new characters, etc... Even though we know how it ends, the director is copying scenes directly from other war movies, i.e. Saving Private Ryan, Platoon, Apocalypse Now, and Full Metal Jacket, etc..., I really do want to see a great war picture set in the Star Wars universe. It looks pretty dark and violent, so I'm sure that in the Star Wars: A New Hope movie that follows this movie, Han definitely shoots Greedo first, LOL. I really do hate the SE versions of Star Wars IV and VI. I hope Disney releases the original OT on blu ray but with remastered sound and cleaned up visuals but leaveing all the show off CGI crap out. Boy do CGI movies from the 90's look more and more dated as the years go by. I don't have a problem with his updated SE of ESB for some reason (except the Vader Shuttle part which I thought was not needed and you could definitely tell it was another angle of the Opening Death Star scene from ROTJ, but then again I digress off topic for another day... LOL

Have to disagree. IMO SW was always has been legendary for group shot movie posters starting with ANH








If anything I think Disney and MCU were inspired of what Lucas did originally for their product. But I like that Disney wants to continue the tradition. It's just my opinion, but I like the clutter

The clutter doesn't bug me but it does have to be a clutter of characters I care about.

Just like the clone wars wasn't what I had always envisioned in my mind from Obi-Wan's story, I just haven't connected with this group of characters yet.

I honestly just expected a bunch of white dudes stealing the plans.

Total agree about nbr of characters...typical SW poster. Whether or not we care about them will determined by the film. We've had almost 40 yrs to care about OT characters....

I am excited for this movie for a couple of reasons, in no real order:

more than one type of enemy ship this time - why JJ, why?

Vader and his GIANT cod piece. lol, but yeah, Vader

a new cool imperial that might actual give Tarkin a run for his money

That dude from the creepy ass Hannibal show.

and 'classic' stormtroopers - updated costume and all

Always enjoyed the empire more than the rebels.....but Luke, Han etc. did make an impression....hopefully new batch of rebels leave some kind of impression (not expecting Luke, Han level)
