I forgot about that movie already- another memorable one from MCU!

Still hoping RO will pay off in more than just box office...

I've got news for you, Mads didn't do much for Dr. Strange.

Tends to be a trend with comic films villains from both Marvel & DC ......weak ass sauce. I enjoyed Kylo and this has Vader ( all 5 mins) & various stormies who don't need to speak....typically better off if they don't. I'm all good.

For me personally I think i'm in an ok place hating on the PT and liking 70% of TFA.

My feelings exactly.

This movie poster definitely gives you that SW feeling regardless how people feel about this film

B-b-but there are no stars in this poster. How does it feel like Star Wars without a view of space in the background.

I honestly just expected a bunch of white dudes stealing the plans.

The rebels put together a minoriteam just to go on a suicide mission so all the white guys could get the glory when they take down the Death Star. Oh wait, I forgot they'll get an momentary mention during the mission briefing before the attack on the DS.

No ****, it says "Star Wars" and has Vader, Stormtroopers, X-Wings, Tie Fighters and another frickin' Death Star on it!


There's just one problem, the random cluster of 7 weirdos with weird names nobody cares about (and won't care about). They look like the random cast you'd see on a sci-fi channel TV movie.

Actually, it reminds me of the Dwarves from the hobbit posters as well, look at that dude in the bottom right corner with his arms folded..

But the dude with the crossed arms and goggles is the one who comes up with the RO name lol.

I think he's a relative of Goggles Paisano the pod racer from the TPM.

Given the rate at which they're pumping 'em out, while upping the ante on spectacle -- I'm not sure how easy it is to make a memorable story within the constraints (timeframe, MCU timeline etc.) they're working within. Ultimately may be victims of their own success; and that same fate probably awaits Star Wars.

In '77 the hero was a whiny, emo little punk running around in a karate gi who just happened to take to shooting, flying strike spacecraft and space-magic exceptionally well after farming moisture on a backwater planet his whole life.

Talk about false advertising.

I was never a Skywalker fan, and from the looks of it, most people prefer Han Solo. Luke as the protagonist of the story is probably one of the weakest aspects of SW, imo. He's not my type of hero.

Jyn appears to have lived on the wrong side of the tracks for a while. She actually has more street cred than Luke, outta the gate.

Oh, I bet she'll be unstoppable. She's Rey 2.0, and part of a larger agenda, which includes expanding the fanbase to include more girls. You can even see it on the new toy commercials which shows boys and girls playing SW. SW was always a boy brand, but Disney wants to change that. It's not necessarily a bad thing, but it seems a bit forced (no pun intended).
