I genuinely disliked TFA and from the trailers I've seen from this, it looks even worse. Downright cringeworthy dialogue along with the entire plot being telegraphed to a global audience that's dumbed down to the point that it makes the 1977 movie look like high art by comparison. I rolled my eyes so hard at the dead mom giving her a magic necklace that I might have popped a blood vessel.

It could not be more obvious that this movie was assembled by the Disney demographics committee for maximum profit$$. Throw in the recent inflammatory political statements by the writers, and you've got one big old pile of dog turd.

I'm not saying that to be edgy or contrarian. I can tell you honestly that I think this movie looks like excrement aside from it's pretty CGI graphics which aren't even that novel after stuff like Battlefront. I won't be giving Disney a damn cent to see this. I might watch it for free but I sure as hell am not paying for it.

Is it that hard to believe that there are people out there that don't like what they did to Star Wars?

(PS....I also got really bored with the Marvel movies a while back too.)

I had no idea Rogue One took place so close to ANH. I thought this film took place a few years before ANH

I don't know what they did to her mic but her breathing sounded like Jabba, very weird. She said sex should be an Olympic sport lol.

This is the first movie outside the Skywalker saga and I believe it does not have JJ's influence in it, so I am definitely going to give this movie a chance. I enjoyed TFA but did not love it like others do.

If Rogue One turns out to be a true war picture set in the Star Wars universe, then I will be very happy. Yes the Rogue One team is a hodgepodge of stereotypical characters but at least its not the normal Hollywood team of completely lily white heroes with the token minority character thrown in for PC.

I say give Rogue One a chance. The Disney/Marvel movies have been mostly hits for me then misses.

Now DC is another story and have been a complete miss on every single picture and definitely needs another visionary artist to reboot that mess of storylines.

Do I hear DC calling out to Mr. Fix-it JJ to reboot the DC universe? Yikes! I hope not, but I do nominate calling Christopher Nolan and Jonathan Nolan and giving them complete control to reboot the DC universe.

Just my 2 Cents!

I was born in 1980 and I ****ing love ROTS.

Since I was a kid I'd always wondered how the Empire came to be. How the Jedi went down. How Palpatine came to power. ROTS beautifully answered that question.

When Mace and the Jedi go to arrest him..."I AM the senate.. That whole sequence, how Palpatine easily dispatches them, how he finally drops the good guy act and reveals the monster under the mask and uses Mace to lure Anakin...perfection. His entire role in the PT is perfection.

His speech at the opera house, that smile when he describes killing Plagueis..."Its ironic, isn't it? He could save others from death but not himself.". Superb stuff. I get chills just thinking about it.

And the fight with Yoda from start to finish was a wet dream. Two titans fighting for their lives. The pleasure Palps displays as he attacks the Grand Master of the Jedi Order..."I have waited a long time for this moment, my little green friend...".

ROTS answered all of those questions I had waited 30 years to obtain and proved a theory I always had - which was that Vader had nothing on Palps. Palps was always the monster and Vader was just another one of his victims.

How i feel about the PT. My only gripe about it is that if storm troopers are clones of jango, why do they suck so bad if jango is a cold face killer.

But i Always loved Palpatine, him and Tarkin are the true bad guys of the empire,but even then i love the empire they are the best option. I have this feeling RO will answer more jedi questions with the planet Jeddah.

But we all know everyone gets shipped to alderaan that survived RO and never heard from again. Unless they use episode VIII to tie off lose ends but it would not make sense since 30 years would have passed from that time.
