YES !! it already looks so different !! no big names on the screen.. no big heroes.. SW from the eyes of normal mortal people ??? GIVE IT TO ME !!! NOW !

Re: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (12/16/16)

Feels very intense to me, and the stuff that looks great far outweighs the few nitpicks I have.

Although, yeah, the samurai guy??? His sword better shoot lasers out of it, or something. ;)

Re: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (12/16/16)

Yeah not sure how I feel about it- another type of movie thrown in with some great SW props......and ships....
looks good but nothing special or pulse pounding- maybe the thrill of a new SW movie has worn off after TFA???

Was that guy with the stache, Biggs?!

Re: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (12/16/16)

Looks good to me. Most will go nuts when they reveal Vader in the final trailer and then some will just hate in it regardless.

Interesting E-11 she is holding

More Star Wars = Good, Gooooooood!

So, stop your complaining! :lol

Except for Han Solo Origin Story, that ****s gotta die!

Re: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (12/16/16)

Looks awesome to me, I like that we're seeing Star Wars from a different view point.

Re: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (12/16/16)

Forest Whitaker looks and sounds like something out of KRULL :(

Everything else looks awesome, though.

Re: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (12/16/16)

Doesn't look or feel like Star Wars to me. Like I said about The Force Awakens, this new stuff seems like fan films to me. That weird fan made videos and story concepts you'd see from the 90s and early 2000s. I just can't get into it. I mean Ninja guys? Forest Whitaker as some Sci-Fi channel made for tv movie guy? Not for me.

The Death Star and ships certainly look better than they did in 1977 though. I want to see Vader.
Those two things are my main issues with it. I'm sure I will warm to it but it does feel TV, fan film-ish.

Re: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (12/16/16)

Loving what i'm seeing so far...bring it on i say!:yess:

Re: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (12/16/16)

There are things about it that I actually prefer already over TFA. :lol

Same here......it screams OT to me, but yeah, the female lead may get on my nerves, if only because it looks like a 35 year old trying to play a 20 year old or some such

As much as some people are excited to see AT-ATs, that's one of my big problems with this.

These prequel movies kill much of the impact of the OT. The AT-AT was an amazing REVEAL vehicle in Empire. When that rebel on Hoth looks through the binoculars and spots those tiny walkers, then we see the Speeders race out to attack, and then the movie reveals how BIG and menacing they are, lurking through the snow. What an awesome surprise!

Now, when someone see Empire, that moment is GONE.

DO NOT use characters and vehicles that were REVEALS in the OT. If you're going to make prequel movies, don't damage the impact these things made in the OT!

This is nothing more than a super size fan film!

Honestly, the time for anyone to be surprised by the reveal of AT-AT's in ESB is long gone. With all the toys and merch out, that feeling you had as a kid in 1980 will never happen again, unless somebody decides to go into watching ESB "cold", pardon the pun:lol

If anything, for anybody that watches ESB for the first time after this one, they're really gonna know those Rebels on Hoth are screwed knowing what damage these things can do. Just sayin':dunno

It looks and feels a bit like a fan film but I'm still excited to give it a watch.
