As I said full clarity....don't get the point about purchasing ticket? Either way each of us is still promoting the agenda each time you respond to this thread....promote, promote, promote. Keeping the discussion alive. Download, buy anything related to the film or SW your following the empire. I know I am....how much will depend on whether I like the movie or not. :dunno

Re: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (12/16/16)

I'm not promoting the agenda though, complaining about it isn't promoting, I'm giving it relevance, sure, but that isn't promoting.

That "anti-stuff is just as bad as pro-stuff" doesn't work every time bro ;)

How does posting on a forum promote or help the agenda? The people here have already made up their minds about seeing the film because 90% of SSF members are SW fanboys with a SW signature or profile pic. :dunno

It's not like we are reaching a new audience every time we post silly gif or meme :lol

Re: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (12/16/16)

The real question is how much can disney get away with .

The star wars brand sells no matter what, but how far can they push?
How much does the star wars brand will hold while they push and alienate their core fans away

Re: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (12/16/16)

Uh, you do realize how many officials from the movie visit big forums like these and not comment right?

I view it differently......giving it relevance then support it financially will not induce change thus the agenda will continue. While you may not buy a ticket many will plus there is a multitude of ways to support it financially beyond ticket sales. Personally I don't give a squat about their agenda or formula but I am willfully supporting it financially so I chose not to complain about either (formula, agenda) because that feel hypocritical to me.

Noooooo waaay!

Which is why it's a good thing we complain, or maybe it isn't and they just laff it off.

Well it's already doing it, but I'm afraid shunning the core fans away isn't gonna do anything anyway.

Which is why I'm not paying to see it. Nor will buy anything related to it. I am aware that one way or the other will support financially, maybe even watching the trailer supports them by giving them ad revenue, but that's like being a tree hugger and try not to kill bacteria, I suppose.

And you are a very congruent dude, good for you (I don't mean this sarcastically)

Edit: wait a minute, I just realized I have adBlocker and adBlocker clicks don't generate revenue :yess: I am free of sin.

Do you have an exact link? I've been browsing around, I can't seem to find where the posters are. Is there something I have to do to unlock them?

Look in the collectibles section or just search for "poster"

Prepare to receive damaged posters . I ordered civil war and force awakens posters and each one arrived damaged

Yeah, it happens now and then, but I contact them and they always replace the poster.

To me the third ghostbusters movie is the game released in 2009, but as much as i dont complain, in all reality their plan will backfire, once everyone realizes whats been going on.
But i will complain if they reboot the matrix with their current agenda

I doubt that'll happen, both Wachowkis are transexuals and there's little to no indication of that in their movies, certainly no agenda pushing (as far as SJW goes)

Although cough zion cough

The SW core fans had no balls to begin with, so Disney might be onto something. They'll buy the latest repainted trooper figure with additional shoulder pad and enjoy the fake Han Solo film.

Meanwhile those Finn figs are still on the shelves :lol

Yeah, they better make him a jedi or something to get people interested in him enough to buy the merch. He's a likable character, but he's basically the Krillin of TFA. He always gets his ass kicked, always scared, he's not particularly good at anything, and he's not cool. He's a likable funny sidekick.

If that's the case then I can respect your stance. The folks that repeatedly visit the movie thread and complain about an agenda or formula then buy a ticket or merchandise I lack any respect I may had for their point of view. Studio's don't care about critical acclaim on big budget films, their serviceable entertainment at best. They make a pretty penny, the studio is happy and the cycle continues.

I suppose I'm part of the perceived problem because I will buy a ticket (or two) and merchandise so I'm not going to be hypocritical like some folks and complain about something I'm investing time and money into that isn't solving the problem.

That stance I guess makes me a fanboy which is fine
