Re: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (12/16/16)

I'm watching my son right now playing with his toys on the ground before bed time making crashing noises and pushing the weapon fire button on his tie fighter with its cool signature sound and he's not thinking about politics and agendas and all i'm thinking is that I wish I could join him on his adventure.

i bet he doesn't call people cucks either, or get upset when someone invades their safe space. :lol

Why not, just do it LOL. My twins are three, can barely speak but somehow in school they learned to say star wars and know what it is, they play the Lego TFA game but it makes me wonder, is youtube kids really that evil?

[..]he's not particularly good at anything, [...] He's a likable funny sidekick.

He's actually a skilled marksman. With the training/background to make it easily believable.

And most stories, particularly sprawling epics -- need funny sidekicks. Nothing wrong with it. If I collected TFA, Finn as Stormtrooper would be one of my top wants.

If that's the case then I can respect your stance. The folks that repeatedly visit the movie thread and complain about an agenda or formula then buy a ticket or merchandise I lack any respect I may had for their point of view. Studio's don't care about critical acclaim on big budget films, their serviceable entertainment at best. They make a pretty penny, the studio is happy and the cycle continues.

I suppose I'm part of the perceived problem because I will buy a ticket (or two) and merchandise so I'm not going to be hypocritical like some folks and complain about something I'm investing time and money into that isn't solving the problem.

That stance I guess makes me a fanboy which is fine
I didn't take you for having such self-awareness, seeing the problem and not caring because we really can't change **** and in the end it doesn't matter, that I can respect too :lol

The universe will be eventually destroyed in the night of Brahma and recreated in the morning anyway so why bother?

i bet he doesn't call people cucks either, or get upset when someone invades their safe space. :lol
He's still young.

If Jye's a good parent he'll do the former.

If he's an even better parent, he won't care.

"i hate fynn, he's not like any other star wars character!"

"i hate TFA, its too much like other star wars movies!"

these people confuse me.

Look in the collectibles section or just search for "poster"

Yeah, it happens now and then, but I contact them and they always replace the poster.

Cool thanks! I didn't like the blank black one or the storming the beachfront one so I got the regular "classic" one. :hi5:

When I see how divisive pop-culture and toys can get on these forums, I stop wondering about geopolitics and religion.

That's because those topics are forbidden :lol every once in a while we'd get those topics in these threads, before the new CoC, and **** would get nasty.

I'm just glad my life is good enough that I can only complain about this stuff.

He was a marksman? I didn't know that. Hmm...maybe he should have been the one getting the gun from Han Solo, but Rey got that too. She took the falcon and Chewi, the lightsaber, Poe's robot, and Kylo Ren's dignity and credibility too. Luke better look out, or she'll leave that island with his clothes and hand.

That she did ... LOL ... but I've said elsewhere that Luke went from flying the equivalent of a souped-up Cessna in friendly skies to an F-16 in combat within hours of getting into lethal shoot-outs with trained soldiers without missing a beat.

If he can do it, I don't see a problem with Rey.

Plus the battle -- was it outside Maz's place -- when he finally got a blaster in his hand? Took out First Order troops like it weren't no thang.

plenty old enough to have insight. :wink1: calling a spade a spade because someone whines about a situation yet I'll read a movie review or "ordered" on the latest dolly deserves no less than to point out the stupidity of the arguement. :lol

:lol I've been told the older I get the less I care, I'm moving fast towards that place of nirvana but there's still some whining left in me.
