I just hope this movie has memorable planet names, I can't remember any of those planets from TFA other than Jakku......off.

I'm liking what I see so far. We knew Felicity was the lead once she was cast and I don't mind another female led SW film. Rumors had it that she's Rey's mom... could be cool to link the films together.

I like it -- although I agree it doesn't look or feel like a Star Wars movie to me. Looks like Nolan took a turn.

But I love the white-admiral Magneto-wannabe bad guy. Also loved seeing the Death Star again in that shot.

I do think its odd to have a lead so close to a "Rey" type. It's like someone at Disney decided to remake Luke (Rey) and now Han as female rolls, which is odd because Star Wars is traditionally a boy's fantasy world. Too many emo boys out there nowadays I guess. They relate better to girls than men.

I like that idea. Although not every spin-off movie needs to connect into the Skywalker family. If they do that, then it sets a bad precedent that will quickly run out of juice. I think the 'story' connection to the Death Star plans is a better way to connect the movies -- via the timeline.

I think it would be interesting if Rey were a incarnation or reincarnation of something strong with the force we haven't heard about before. A Anakin like figure but even more powerful. Maybe created in the nether world by Yoda, Obi-wan and all the other fallen Jedi or something. ("Rey, these are your first steps") A representation of the Force in human form. (The Force Awakens) It would explain a lot of her hidden and sudden power and be a lot better than "because related". Also, Maz's "eye speech" would make a lot of sense here.

Oh yeah.. the trailer for this didn't do anything for me.

Well, we knew Felicity Jones was playing the lead a long time ago so that's not a surprise.

The other complaint about the 'reveal' of AT-ATs in ESB being spoiled - I'll actually be more irritated if they have brand new vehicles that for some reason disappear from the Star Wars universe completely after this - like if they have a fleet of super-dooper Star Destroyers even bigger than the Executor that never appear again at a time where you'd think they would like at the battle of Endor.

anyone who dislikes or dismisses a story solely because the lead character is a different gender, race, or religion than they are is a grade A moron and, imo, an ahole.
