They're in a toy store and she complaints about the film being aimed at kids?

I can't believe a-dev has 1,200+ posts in that NECA Terminator thread.

I just checked. A-dev is the Usain Bolt of the A&R section. He's even # 1 in the Genesis threads :lol

:lol I know. My closest rival in the Terminator thread is Maulfan with 608!

I don't feel like I post that much anymore but it's obviously just enough - added to my posting heyday - to stay ahead of everyone else.

Box office predictions have this opening around $140 million US/$350 Worldwide.

I actually think the US box office will be a bit higher.

Re: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (12/16/16)

Just saw an "exclusive" clip from this film on the Kimmel show. Rey 2.0 easily beats up a bunch of armed dudes. Only the giant Groot robot could stop her :lol

Censorship in any form is a violation of our first amendment rights. Seriously there should be
NO deletion of any posts, positive or negative, because someone gets their feelings hurt. If you get your feeling hurt because of a post, then stay off the internet and shelter yourself from the world or possibly grow up and learn not to let things said about A MOVIE bother you so much. Geez, look at what the world we live in has come to: censorship of reviews of a Star Wars movie.

This is the internet. Not America. :lol

Actuallly if you post and you are inside us soil your posts should be protected by the constitution and therefore cannot be deleted ever under penalty of cyber police law :lecture

I watched a load of the trailers together in sequence last night. You can certainly see the change in tone that came in with the reshoots. More comedy with robots more vfx stuff. Things certainly got lighter. Looks better for it though.

I know in terms of personal taste, one of the things that grounds the Marvel films for me is the humour; a sort of meta-awareness of the genre's strengths and limitations.

Star Wars is a different animal, but I do think it can suffer if it takes itself too seriously.

Re: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (12/16/16)

The irony is that the Stormtrooper and villain stuff probably sells way better than the Rebels. :lol

And I can tell you right now that it ain't girls buying all the $250-$300 Star Wars collectibles, or even the little chintzy toys Hasbro and Disney are pumping out (which, judging by retail stores and online, is selling miserably compared to how things were in the past).

Yep figures are jamming up the shelves here- last year this time TFA stuff was near sold out. The magic bottle is emptied as far as pent up demand...
