2 things amaze me with this movie.
1, that this thread is so dead. A new SW movie in a few months time and no buzz here.
And 2, that they are still doing reshoots, what is it now 8-9 weeks?

I like TFA a lot.. From a certain point of view. But I also clearly acknowledge what it is ( a commercial greatest hits). I can't argue with anyone who hates it.
i thought Cameron's comments recently were right on point. And it's nice to see George getting a bit of love, he ****ed up but he is still a creative genius in his own crazy little world.

You are right- hype machine for return of SW is over- the merchandise now clogs the stores- no one wants it
THIS film will be an important test for Disney- I think it will do good at box office but nowhere near TFA
Reality will be settling in- yearly SW to me makes it a non-event

I really don't see the point of this film coming out now. This concept could've been done anytime after the OT even if the setting is supposed to be before ANH.
There is no significance as a whole. We all know the outcome with the future of the Death Star and most of these characters are long gone and never mentioned again. The only thing I can think of is that Vader fans will like seeing Vader's early adventures
I would rather see a film about the " Battle of Jakuu " since that plays a role in the logic of TFA.
Also why would they want Fisher to play young Leia, I know they could make her look younger but her voice now sounds nothing like her ANH, this could be a trainwreck
