The Frank Miller Graphic novel from 86' is pretty good, but you can't compare a comic medium to a film medium. Spielberg and Lucas are true visionaries of the film art form, while Frank dabbles in the 2D.

You are right- hype machine for return of SW is over- the merchandise now clogs the stores- no one wants it
THIS film will be an important test for Disney- I think it will do good at box office but nowhere near TFA
Reality will be settling in- yearly SW to me makes it a non-event

Are you joking? Merchandise sales for the first 6 months of 2016 were over 700 million.

Correction: Merchandise sales from Star Wars are expected to exceed $700 million. This is based on the first 6 months of sales, and is the most revenue since 1999.

I have never been able to see ToD all the way thru. I have attempted it four times and I don't remember a single scene except the ride through the mine.

Don't see how Alzheimer's Marion has any impact on young Marion, that's some backwards logic you have. If you want to support TOD being better than Crystal Skull, then Shia is a solid reason.

Truck chase, absolutely. I don't think the mine cart chase turned out as well as they had hoped.



I like TOD, but there is no way it will ever be better than Raiders.

Yeah the mine carts are weak in comparison. Still fun though.

Raiders truck chase is one of my favorite film action sequences ever which is saying a lot when you consider how many great ones there are. I love that sequence, he stunt work, the brawl and the music.

I don't hate TOD, i've sat thru it many times, I remember opening night being shocked by the violence, loving short round and hating Willie.

But my fellow americans, Raiders stands alone, the sole Indy movie in the halls of classics.

I hated ToD when I was young and it first played in the theaters. I've grown to like it more over time. It's not synthetic and CG, they used modelwork and glass shots and movie magic from the day when this sh-t was art.

Harrison Ford is great in ToD. He acts and doesn't phone it in. Indy is kickass in this movie.

I hate Kate Capshaw but I have a pretty good mental filter when she's on screen. I like to think when they get on the inflatable raft and bail out of the plane Willie dies on the mountain. She just needs to be digitally erased from the rest of the film. It'll be kinda like "Garfield minus Garfield".

That scene before all hell breaks lose where all Indy and Willie want to do is **** is one of the best, most realistic scenes.
