Someone posted the results of a fan poll on the official Tamashii twitter for DBZ; can anyone who is registered post the results? IIRC, the minor characters were ahead for some reason...https://twitter.com/TamashiiNations

Bardock, Tien, Raditz, and Yamcha have more votes than Kid Buu and even Saiyan Saga Goku?! How does Super Buu have more votes than kid buu?

Also, think God mode Goku, Bills, Mecha Frieza, Majin Vegeta, Android 19, Android 20, and Kami should be on that list.

I'm especially surprised as well. Besides Tien, I want Kid Buu and Saiyan Saga Goku more as well.

I agree that those are more deserving characters as well. I hope Tamashii looks at the comments. I really think Majin Vegeta is a very big miss for the poll. Same with Post-Time Chamber Trunks, for a Cell Games display. Saiyans sell.

I guess the people's choices vary on the other board because we collect other lines as well. We know which figures have been made over millions of times whereas others haven't even been made. Some of them weren't put because of reason like we already have too many goku's/vegetas out, need some variety.

I hope they remember these cost figuarts prices. I had this whole talk with Silrian about how I wanted such a focused collection, and then when I went on that website and completely lost perspective. I'm spending so much for different accessories and appendages, and if I get so many I'll never get to appreciate them all. I have to thank you all on this forum for helping to keep me in check. Just because I don't spend $50 on a character doesn't mean I don't love them. I'm sure a lot of those guys wouldn't be happy if figuarts just made obscure characters.

I know but the forums isn't just limited to SHF that's why there so much variety and different perspectives/opinions. Plus I think most of the people there want a z warrior setup/display and to finish off current trios like raditz(saiyans), kid buu(all villains final form, and 16(androids).

Oh I understand. I think I saw that used as an argument to discount popular Saiyan forms. I'm just saying since I have a bunch of Batman the animated series figures, I'm not going to get DC direct figures to fill in gaps of characters that weren't apart of that series. A seven inch Black Mask or Hush is not going to make my 4 inch Joker very flattering.

Hate on me if you want, its the hard truth. Whether there have been loads of figures of someone shouldnt matter in the slightest; whatever is made will be the best made of that character, period. I dont want the likes of Vegito missed out because there are loads of figures of him, thats not right; I am a completionist, and I wont settle for "filling in the blanks" with other lines, no chance.

Ya you're right, but i do hope they end up doing all characters eventually but doing all the important ones first

However, if you have kid Trunks and Post-Time Trunks or Buu Saga, Ultimate Gohan, or Saiyan saga gohan released, at least people will get a chance at getting a high quality version of a character they love.

Hasn't every figure or the majority of those figures have versions made of them? It's not like people were voting for Chi Chi as the highest character. The top 3 are Yamcha, Tien, and Bardock, and just checking on ebay, I'm seeing many different figures of those characters already made, so I don't get that argument.

It's not like they have only released Goku and Vegeta figures. Heck I'm seen so many people complain about re-releases, like it will hurt the line. They're not replacing anything, but it seems to me people are just being selfish. It doesn't help Tamashii at all, with people spending those $150- to $200 prices for SSJ Vegeta. If a new person is going to see this line, most people are going to already think $40 is already expensive for an action figure.

I honestly think the majority of people buying these figures, will care mostly for getting the Saiyans and the main villains, and be completely satisfied. As much as I love the Buu Saga, Tamashii was really smart starting with Cell Saga forms, because they're so iconic.

how do you spot a new collector?

when they nag tamashii to release Normal goku because their line is "missing" that iconic look of him. while other collectors have that look from other lines
