Silrian, what you just said about the Marvel Legends is what happened to me with those animated series, and watching Dragon Ball Z in Japanese. I didn't think it had good voice acting, but it's got a lot of personality. Then once I got into it, I went back to the Funimation dub and went "THIS IS AN ABOMINATION! STOP TALKING EVERY SECOND! THEY'RE TALKING, STOP PLAYING MUSIC EVERY SECOND! EVERYONE'S VOICES KEEP DRAGGING! THIS DIALOGUE IS SO CHEESY! I AM TRUTH? WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?" Pretty big contrast for someone who just watched the show for the first time. Man, I turn on things quick!
However, my heartstrings will still be pulled any time I think of "Jean......" or "Mary Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaane!" I actually thought the animation on the Marvel cartoons were far better than Batman and Superman TAS, because the characters looked more "realistic" because they had more detail. I was so upset when they updated the animation in the New Batman Animated Series, because of the sleeker looks. As an adult, I appreciate how great it looks. It's all relative! They actually are still good shows though, despite it all. If you watched them in order, you can get over those flaws, because the characters were so darn good.
That's my excuse for not eating fancy food. Well, that and I can't because of my health problems, I have to have everything pureed like baby food, but if I didn't, that would be my excuse to weasel out of expensive restaurants!
Yeah, the Marvel Legends do look pretty bad though, just like I brought up when I saw the Figuarts Nappa's bulging shoulders. But, they were so awesome, back then. I was so excited in 2003, when we finally got a Batman figure that could bend it's knees and move it's arms out. It wasn't like Marvel Legends with 50 points of articulation on some, but a BATMAN THAT CAN BEND IT'S KNEES!
Seinfeld truly did Elaine a favor when he wouldn't let her take the first class on the plane.
