Silrian, what you just said about the Marvel Legends is what happened to me with those animated series, and watching Dragon Ball Z in Japanese. I didn't think it had good voice acting, but it's got a lot of personality. Then once I got into it, I went back to the Funimation dub and went "THIS IS AN ABOMINATION! STOP TALKING EVERY SECOND! THEY'RE TALKING, STOP PLAYING MUSIC EVERY SECOND! EVERYONE'S VOICES KEEP DRAGGING! THIS DIALOGUE IS SO CHEESY! I AM TRUTH? WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?" Pretty big contrast for someone who just watched the show for the first time. Man, I turn on things quick!

However, my heartstrings will still be pulled any time I think of "Jean......" or "Mary Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaane!" I actually thought the animation on the Marvel cartoons were far better than Batman and Superman TAS, because the characters looked more "realistic" because they had more detail. I was so upset when they updated the animation in the New Batman Animated Series, because of the sleeker looks. As an adult, I appreciate how great it looks. It's all relative! They actually are still good shows though, despite it all. If you watched them in order, you can get over those flaws, because the characters were so darn good.

That's my excuse for not eating fancy food. Well, that and I can't because of my health problems, I have to have everything pureed like baby food, but if I didn't, that would be my excuse to weasel out of expensive restaurants!

Yeah, the Marvel Legends do look pretty bad though, just like I brought up when I saw the Figuarts Nappa's bulging shoulders. But, they were so awesome, back then. I was so excited in 2003, when we finally got a Batman figure that could bend it's knees and move it's arms out. It wasn't like Marvel Legends with 50 points of articulation on some, but a BATMAN THAT CAN BEND IT'S KNEES!

Seinfeld truly did Elaine a favor when he wouldn't let her take the first class on the plane.

Personally I think it looks to be around the same size as the Irwin Space Pod. However, as you can see, the inside looks way more cramped, making it near-impossible for a standard Figuarts Vegeta or someone to fit in there. So Nappa is definitely out of the question, I'm afraid (a custom space pod for him would have to be HUGE, literally the size of a PlayStation 3 or XBox length-wise, if not bigger. Just my guesstimation)

This looks more like a display piece. The hatch/doorway closes and Chibi Goku is removable. The Irwin pod however lights up and makes noise when you add batteries, lol

Nope, your dead wrong about that. The Kuji space pod dwarfs the Iriwn pod. It might be a tight fit judging by the SDCC pics, but it is still a possibility, compared to the Irwin space pod being an assured impossibility. Though I can only estimate, seeing as I own neither pod nor Nappa, but who does right?

I have a doubt, Can you get SDCC dragon ball ex in another Comic con as NY? (at the same price as SDCC and except webshop)
I don't know about SDCC Gohan and Goku in previous years but at 2013's NYCC, I found SDCC Piccolo at the official Tamashii booth.

Wow! You're right, I was totally dead wrong about the size, lol. I didn't think it was that big.. sheesh (that's what she said)

Now I'm seriously considering purchasing one of those. So now we can safely confirm that both Kuji and Irwin Space Pods can fit Vegeta inside. So, being that the Figuarts Nappa prototype literally towered over Vegeta, I still have a hard time seeing how he can possibly fit in that one. Hmm... well, his torso might fit, but I envision his bulky arms being in the way. I dunno. And this is assuming they release that half-naked prototype (plz no), imagine if ever they did that, they included snap-on armor pieces which pokes out even more. If that Space Pod didn't have such thick interior "padding," then it might just be big enough. But you're right, if Nappa becomes available for purchase, then the Kuji Pod is the one to get.

Once I order that one, I'm gonna compare and contrast the two in more detail. Thanks for sharing!

Hey Reaper, maybe I've missed it, but I'd love to see your custom armoured krillin next to piccolo and frieza...:)

im working on krillin again. not happy with the lower legs but here is a pic. I know he is a bit tall next to frieza but so is the official one so I kept them at the same height.

Dude! You have got to post an up to date picture of your Figuarts collection. It looks like you've added a few more characters to your display and how else am I going to steal ideas for new companion figures! What are your thoughts on the Banpresto Nappa figure? I was thinking about getting one for my collection, as it seem a little bit thin in the Saiyan Saga department. I might just have to get a few Kuji Space pods and Great Ape statuettes to help flesh it out.

They do, they've explicitly stated they'd reveal something that the hint was for. We don't however know for which line.

EDIT: The only DB/Z related guesses I can think of are Kid Goku's Nimbus cloud, some ssj's hair or, since they called it their obscurest hint to date, perhaps the sun in which Broli got hurled (but that's really far fetched). I wouldn't know anything else DB/Z that can be associated with this shade of yellow, nor with any potential names this specific shade has. According to this wikipedia article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Shades_of_yellow the shade could be perhaps sunglow (hence my Broli guess) or saffron. How obscure would it be if it were one of Sabrina's pokemon.:lol

Also pretty awesome 12eape12! I guess his limbs are a tiny bit too long still though, but because of his massive head that's fairly well mitigated. It's still imo the smoothest custom I've seen except maybe some of Eon's.

yea I didn't want to make him smaller because the regular figuart would be bigger and that looks off. I have to work on the legs some more on this one as well. elot(eonzone) has been doing this forever with those dbz ufs figures so everything ive learned is from him, we still talk from time to time and he lets me know what figure he is working so I wont do the same one. we try to do different ones to fill in gaps of missing characters faster lol.

every nappa figure released is too small. there might be some statues but none that ive seen. personally im still pretty sure they wont scrap the figuarts nappa so im not worried about finding him. The kujii apes look great but of course not in scale.they are still the closest we would get. kujii shenron looks nice as well. I haven't been collecting much dbz lately cus I got into hot toys, ive paid from 200-450 per toy and lets just say I got over ten lol. when I re organize my display case ill post a pic.

EDIT" I am looking for re issued super saiyan goku for a decent price not scalper prices. I bought a few from amazon for 33$ free shipping. If anyone can sell them to me used for around 35$ price range pm me please its for customs.

We'll we're just going to have track the guy who drew Broly as a kid, and get him to tells us which color crayon he used to color him.

A picture of DBZ stuff or your Hot Toys? Cause you do make me curious which ones you bought?^^

I'd never considered buying hot toys, but Man of Steel's Zod might be the first one.

Once you get one in your hand you will want more lol. Also sideshow lets you pay 3 to 4 payments so you don't have to shell out the cash all at once. I already have MOS and jor el and zod pre ordered.I got one final payment for MOS and jor el. MOst promising line in terms of looks and perfection.

that's a serang head sculpt I re painted, just need to buy the armor and body

working on a custom for her. made head smaller and re painted, now im re sculpting over it and re painting it again lol

This is what we were just talking about! Don't do it! I think the DCUC figures look great, but then when I watch someone's review for a DC Collectible and they get to the part when say, "Now let's compare it to the DC Universe Classics", I think to myself, this looks pretty good, but then think the DCUC looks much better. Once they do the side by side comparison, it's depressing how much more detailed and better sculpted the DC Collectibles is, and makes the DCUC look like more like a child's toy.

That's a great collection Reaper! They look phenomenal!

It's also the same thing with the Boo saga. All that stuff I was saying how it could have been much better with having a different villain and plot, but I still love it, and it's better than the Cell saga. Nothing's perfect and it's not like I've made anything near what incredible things Toriyama has done.
