Theyve had three figures to make sure that doesnt happen, it better not!
I also hope the use ss3 Gokus arms, minus the paibt of course. Those arms are actually shorter than the original moulds and stop Goku from looking like a monkey lol.
I know by definition he IS a monkey, but he is never portrayed as such
oh, and Tarble is good, but ss4........ nice attempt? Not that I can custom to save myself, but painting a Vegeta in the colours of ss4 Goku and sticking odd pieces of hair on doesnt make him ss4 Goku lol. No offence to the creator, but he kind of just wasted a ssj vegeta figure making that......
Burn it with fire! I think SSJ4 Goku is such a cool design, but I don't like it for a Super Saiyan form. I'm also against SSJ4 ever happening in the canon story. But GT isn't in continuity, so I enjoy it for what it is. I payed for it! I love what Sean Schemmel did for his voice!
Tarble looks great! He was pretty happy in the TV special, so his wife must be nagging him. I'm kidding!
I remember seeing that Tarble mod on ebay a while back. I think it sold for around $120. I knew I should've bought it when I had the chance..!
Concerning GT's canonicity, I know a lot of people don't like it and consider it "non-canon," but has Toriyama ever been on record saying that it's non-canon? One might argue that since there was never a manga counterpart then it shouldn't be considered. But still, there's nothing major in GT that really contradicts what happens in Z, is there? And Toriyama even contributed several ideas to GT, despite popular belief that "he had nothing to do with it." I agree that it's a step down from Z quality-wise, but I wouldn't go so far as to say it's absolutely terrible, either.
I'm just wondering if there's an official source that says "GT is non-canon, please ignore it."
I like ssj4 as a design too; part of me wished they would have used that "golden" ssj4 fake that kept popping up as ssj God, as that would make him the perfect mixture of a saiyans most powerful forms, super saiyan and Oozaru.
Rrashidp; be that as it may, the creator didnt make the pieces "flow" together, so it literally looks like they stuck pieces everywhere!
EDIT: this pic is what i mean, it looks godlike and powerful to me, and actually fits in as an ultimate ssj form.
I dont think Toriyama has ever outright said anything ISNT canon, he just adds tidbits of what IS every so often. Most people denounce GT because of how obviously rushed, and full of plot holes it is, not to mention the only good bits of it are the end-game battles against super 17, the dragons etc, and dont get me started on bebi, the kid buu-lookalike-somehow-a tuffle-made-by-a-dr gero-clone....
Oh, and did i mention the black star dragonballs? I know the original Namek that became King Piccolo and Kami was kind of evil, but why make a set of dragonballs so powerful that they have to be scattered across the galalxy or else the planet explodes? HE COULDNT LEAVE THE PLANET! Or howabout the fact that they were clearly in a part of the lookout that anyone would have found them, yet they remained hidden, and actually forgotten about......
The same goes for most of the movies, they are seen as non canon because there is no plausible way to fit most of them into the storylines of the series (oh, lets ignore Cell, Broly needs to be defeated, or I know Goku should be dead, but garlic jr wants to kill Kami)
I can agree with that. But like you said, he's never actually outright said GT isn't canon, and to my knowledge, Funimation hasn't either. There are plotholes, yes, but the story still is a continuation of Z, unlike the movies that are obviously "what-if" scenarios and have no place in the chronology. It's not like GT went out of it's way to straight up contradict stuff established in Z. If it had ignored stuff like Oob altogether or didn't feature an older Pan, or not having Gohan become an "intellectual" like ChiChi always intended, then I think it would be safe to say "yeah, GT clearly isn't canon."
Even if they decided that Battle of Gods was gonna retcon GT, I would be ok with that. But, so far, it all still fits.
