I had assumed it was just a Bandai gimmick that they typically do... but no those are actually part of it... here's hoping they are housed within the body instead of being at the ready all the time since it looks silly.

Those parts are on the combining version of the movie Megazord. His "arms" and cannon are on the wrists.

I imagine the Megazord transformation will be similar to how the rangers morph. It prob won't be the block-by-block transformation.
