I know that it bothered the Hell out of me when I traveled to other countries when I was in the Navy, and was looked at like I was a Nazi. When I was immediately lumped in with ********* like our current President and redneck America it put a sour taste in my mouth. We have slipped as a country, no longer are we looked at like the shining land in the West but rather the aggressors and murderers... It's not right.

We as a country deserve better than that. We aren't all idiots... Not like we have been portrayed in the past 8 yrs.

I think the gay community has a right to their anger at people who want to create a Constitutional Amendment that limits their civil rights just as much as the black community had a right to their anger when they weren't allowed to marry outside their race.

As I stated in the thread about the 8 year old who tragically died. I was respectful until Kuzen stated that hunters were stupid rednecks and because he doesn't like guns they should be banned. If someone can voice their opinion in a respectful way then they won't hear a word from me. But when you start saying Republicans are dumb and gun owners have guns for killing, then I am going to put my 2 cents in and it will be in the same ignorant way that it is given.

This thread sickens me in the same way that effigy sickens me.... I love how people try to put the candidates into nice neat packages, whether it be "Socialist" or "Terrorist" or "Old" or "incompetent"....

90% of these political threads are started by the SSF Right Reich Group, and they use them as a spinning off point to attack Obama as a candidate and everything he plans to do with this country. So far that they basically label him a communist or nazi.

You guys have slipped so far that I can hardly speak to many of you without throwing up in my mouth. Seriously guys, can't you just cast your vote for McCain and shut your traps for a few weeks... wait for the results?

You have your social group... share you intense hatred and extreme ideals within that group and stop spilling it over into the forum.

And they tend to be heavily moderated by the lot of you. You all come in to each of those threads and start having the same conversations OVER and OVER and OVER again....

I know I am not the only person who is sick of it, I know I am not the only person who gets tired of the consistent comparisons to Mao or Hitler or Castro...etc. It's really getting old.
