And CLU, about 2 years ago I was where you are now with the "could be thousands of years from now" attitude. I started paying attention, researching and reading. Over the course of time I have seen enough line up that things are at minimum heading in that direction.

Also, I don't believe in "doomsday" and the end of the world at all. I believe in Christ returning to set up His kingdom. I'm not saying it's tomorrow or next week, but I beleive it's closer than many think meaning possibly sometime in the next 5-20 years with the current direction the world is going. Again, my opinion from what I've seen. Not saying it's a fact.

:goodpost:

With you 100% bro.

When Christ sets up his kingdom will he have a twitter account? And if so, what will Christ tweet?

There's probably some concern that if America goes down they'll try and drag the rest of the world with them.

There's an arrogance among the US Government and many of it's citizens that won't accept anything less than being number 1 so I could believe that possibility a lot more easily than any religious nonsense.

Kit,youre my Christian brother but as far as Biblical prophecy regarding the doomsday goes I must disagree. There are literally thousands of interpretations. Alot of people say they interpret that the second coming of Christ is near but some of the most renowned and expert religious scholars believe that it will not happen for thousands if not tens of thousands of years.

There seems to be some trouble in the world yes but there is also much good and to say that the second coming of Christ is within the next 5-20 years is ridiculous.

Unless some extraordinarily drastic things happen soon then the world is just not in the state that the Bible says it needs to be in for armageddon to happen.

I heard reports that people sent their entire life savings to that crazy mother*&^%$ who was predicting this, and that they shut down his website because he was basically defrauding people. I really hope that is not true.

CLU,

So you're saying that as long as there are "good" people doing "good" things that Christ won't return? That's suggesting that self righteousness is keeping the world going. There are NONE righteous, no not ONE.

Suggesting that being "good" is keeping the world going is like suggesting that being "good" is the key to eternal life. Sorry, but not according to the Bible.

You say there are thousands of interpetations, but how many can be correct? You may personally feel that saying 5-20 years is ridiculous, but the fact is that you have no clue if it is or isn't. I don't either. I am saying from what I've seen I believe it is. Too many Christians ignore the second coming as if it's never going to happen. They act as if it's somehow a bad thing or something to fear. I don't get that at all.

Either way you're a brother in Christ and that's a good thing.

if your world goes than so does the grid. i've yet bring the system to it's maximum potential so i need more time.

Matthew 24:36 "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father"

Glad to see y'all are still with me.
For a second there, I thought I was the only one that missed the rapture.

Oh well, it's back to work on Monday.

Maybe it's because all they want to talk about is how everyone is going to die or that the world is going to be torn apart by earthquakes or bombs or whatever? Very few Christians can talk of Revelations without talking about nothing but death and destruction. I guess that makes a lot of people a bit nervous.
