That conspiracy crap about the world governments/kingdoms prepping humanity for orderly extermination with these raptures and "end of the world" is pure gold.

Orderly extermination?

I'm not going to go down quietly, imma fight!

Hence why I have no problem lumping the conspiracy nuts in with the religious extremists. They are all followers and cant think for themselves.

mthrfkr, fell asleep and missed the end of the world..............crap!!!!!!!!!

As sad as it is it's getting to the point where I'm starting to just lump everybody as one. Excluding family and dear friends of course.

My gut feeling? I don't think we have to worry about raptures, super beings, alien abductors or massive asteroids contributing to the extinction of our world. We're the ones who will end up pulling the trigger on ourselves.

Don't worry, there will be another end of the world party before you know it!

I guess I'll have to start watching this series of movies. I got Left Behind :(

The end of the world will not happen for a very, very long time and we'll have no idea when it does happen.
Also trying to use some ancient calendar as a way to predict armageddon just further proves that we are so clueless as to when it will happen.

The Bible says the end will come when not one righteous man exists on earth. So even though theres alot of evil, theres still plenty of good and the good will always out weigh the bad.

So yea I don't know if this doomsday trend is just a new fear tactic or a fad but I hope it dies out soon.
People just need to continue living an honest hard working life and we'll all be fine.

No, you don't have that quite right. None of us are rightous now except through Christ. Self righteousness means zero.

We do not know when it will happen, but I do believe it's getting at least semi-close with the things going on in the world today that seem to line up with BIBLICAL prophecy.

What in the world today makes you think that? Things have been going quite well compared to the past.

It's possible that he doesn't like it here. :dunno

I like it here. The faithful can be raptured. That's cool. They'll be happier where they're going.

Down here, the righteous and the wicked can carry on as they always have. I don't think we'll have any more trouble than we ever have.

A lot of it has to do with Israel and middle east events. A lot of it has to do with impending economic downfall of the US who is the major obsticle to world government as well as the US's seeming insistance on turning it's back on all things Godly while it continues to embrace lust and sin. This nation has nearly lost all of it's morality.

But most of it has to do with keeping an eye on Israel. Israel is God's time clock. With the downfall of nation leaders who kept the peace with Israel ( Egypt, Lebanon et al ) and seeing those nations on the verge of having groups like the Muslim Brotherhood take over who are of course hostile towards Israel as well as people like Obama stepping up efforts to try to force Israel to give up it's land and Jerusalm to the palestinians.......well, the writting is on the wall for the eventual move against Israel clearly in Bible prophecy.

I don't think these wars and natural disasters going on are anything even close to what we'll see once the apocalypse is near. The war in The Middle East has been long yes but not very many people have died and not alot of destruction has happened.

The type of religious war that would be a sign of the doomsday would be millions of people dieing and widespread devastation. Look at wars from the ancient and medieval times where 100,000 people would die in one battle and whole cities would be burned to the ground. Those wars happened all the time and their apocalypse never came.

Also some are saying the multitude of natural disasters happening is also a sign. The thing is though big earthquakes and hurricanes have been going one periodically since the earth has been in existence. Now there is just always someone around with a smartphone or laptop to report it so it seems like these disasters are just coming out of nowhere so much but when really this is just normal mother nature.

The point is things are pretty much the same way they've always been since we've been in existence as far as war and natural disasters go.So no the end of the world is far off and I believe God just didn't put us here to destroy us. Mankind has a long time left to better ourselves and continue living.

I respectfully disagree. Check my other post. Israel is God's time clock and when they became a nation in 1948 and got Jerusalem back in 1967 the clock started ticking.
