Sorry my friends for the delay! For now, I can only tease you once more with this:

Numenorianskull.jpg

There will be more of an official announcement, so all I may be able to do is show a thumbnail; very tiny that is : )

Either Sauron's very radiating evil presence causes the flesh of the fallen to evaporate, leaving only bone and corroded armour, or this is a battle scene from prior encounters with elves and Numenorians. There are plenty of instances between Sauron and his enemies told in the Silmarillion to support this theory ; )

Jerry, thanks for all of the tantalizing images thus far, and we'll all be waiting the full "official" reveal at this point. You have certainly whipped our boards into a frenzy on this one though!

I think I prefer the later reason, though I assumed it was a "Last Alliance" depiction of Sauron (based on the prologue of "Fellowship of the Ring" film.) Either way, a little artistic license is cool!

You know, more and more i'm thinking that we might see a preview tonight, judging by all we know, and by Jerry's comments.

I think Sauron may be the 'big' pre-order oppertunity we were told about for early-mid 2011...

I'm still sticking with the RWOS prediction, but I'm fine either way. But whichever one it is, SS isn't going to preview a LOTR 'centerpiece' until SDCC. :lecture.

Thats true. Very easily could see one of those now and then the other at Comic-Con. I actually think we'll see Sauron before Comic-Con as far as a preview and then more shots obviously at Comic-Con.

I don't know, i'm with Josh, I think we'll see it previewed sometime around now with it also being shown at Comic-Con.

You never know, even though they said, 2012, SS could quite easily have bumped him up the list.

It's just with Jerry saying we would see it this week, but he couldn't show it because SS wanted to show it officially, to me that says preview.

As large sa the character is (at least twice as tall as most characters) I don't see him actually being any taller than the SSW Sauron. That this is already huge, even comapred to current PF's. Any larger will just be too big and expensive for most peoples tastes. Some of the more expensive PF's are the Lord of Darkness at $350, and of course Grievous at $450. Going any higher than that just seems extreme. The most expensive LOTR PF is Lurtz at $350. Every other LOTR PF is $300 or under. I just hope Sideshow doesn't feel they have to make him so elaborate that the price is just too damn high.

Jerry says they want to save it for an official announcement...but who's to say that announcemenet is ANYTIME soon.

Personally, I want him to be as in scale as possible. So well over 24 inches. :exactly:

True.
