mask is foam latex on 4-way stretch fabric. black out your eyes dab prosaide on your chin and forehead...slip on mask. instant gorilla. haired up with real human hair. when you get the mask the gorilla clothing can wait because it will make any outfit. guaranteed.

I would like to see Hot Toys do some more Planet of the Ape figures, but right now it seems like all they have is "Ironman on the Brain" syndrome.

Jessica, are these masks one size fits all? How much are you asking?

DollmanRon, I am not sure if Hot Toys still has the license as Neca has made the announcement that they now have it for the classic POTA franchise and the current movie. Neca has also said that they have yet to acquire the rights for Charlton Heston's likeness. So maybe no Taylor?

The custom bug has bite me many times, but I always get tired of them after I finish them or before, so I end up selling them for a lot less than what I have in them. I would must rather buy a factory piece that is well made by their manufacture. I have all the Hot Toys figures (would like another Soldier Ape, but at a reasonable price), and almost all the Sideshow pieces (missing about four or five of the exclusives), but I'd buy more from either company if they were good and affordable. The movies were very popular with me when I was a little kid, and made a big impact on me.

Hmm, mind telling me where? I am looking at their facebook cover page. Do you have the address?

HI Jessica! :fireworks

Great to hear from you. I look forward to taking many more photos!. I am anxiously awaiting to see what scale and items Neca will be making. It is raining here today so I won't be outside with my equipment. :(

Can you tell me more about your mask? I would love to maybe start putting together a suit for halloween.

Is there another site/page? I'll post it there too!

It would be great for HT to make more, I would love another Gorilla sculpt, Dr.Z, Cornelius and Zira would be very welcome. I just can not justify spending the current asking price on these new figures, and the prices on ebay are outrageous. Too many times I have experienced a SideShow product breaking in my hands, breaks my heart.

Which exclusives are you missing from your SideShow collection?

Sticks the mask should be one size fits all. It is for those who want to go ape but lack the time to invest in gluing down the appliances blending the edges and finding the appropriate wig. It takes a good 3 hours to do a good job for me. Maybe there are makeup artists that can do it faster on the fly. Not me though.

My son and I are going thru all the films (and extended versions) then will head to the tv series. Its great enjoying these with him but....
GOD I want to ape up!

For the Gorillas, what more is need other than painting around the eyes black, and glueing down the mask? Thanks Jessica.

IM, I saw your post on the the Neca Group forum, :)
Have fun enjoying those films, The only extended version I have is the Conquest version PZ burned for me a couple years ago. It is the best version that I have seen of that film. What other films are extended and what do they show?

Battle has an extended version also. To be honest, its been so long [I'm ashamed to say] that I don't rightly recall. But it will be fun to watch it with him!!

Should I make some chimp and orangutan versions of my 1:6 sign for NECA?

I hope some of you will start your own posts requesting that NECA consider 1:6. One could be ignored, but we need to show strength in numbers. If they see more posts spread out asking for the same thing maybe it will get them thinking our way, if they aren't already. And comment on others posts for 1:6 if you see them.

Let's make this happen.

NOW, FIGHT LIKE APES!!

Sticks first you have to determine that you are not allergic to latex or prosaide or rubber mask grease (do a patch test). Then black out your eyes with rubber mask grease paint. Dab prosaide on your skin where you want the mask to stick (forehead, cheeks, chin). Dab prosaide under gorilla mask where it will need ro be glued onto your face. Wait until it is tacky. Gently put on the mask without pulling on the foam latex. Press in place. done. Don't forget to wear black leather gloves.

Thanks Jessica, let me know when you send your mask to auction. How long have you been working on it? Is there a place that makes really good quality ape gear?

Thanks IM, Oh Battle, Yikes, I didn't like that one, it was too dated and silly. I am not sure if Neca would allow you to post other products other than their own on their page. I would love to see some pictures though of your protestors making a plea for more apes! I would love to send them the picture i took yesterday but seeing that they are Hot Toys gorillas and the horse is Dragon DML, I am not sure if they would like it, what do you think?

Than YES IM, I already sent a like to both of your posts, one on each site. Some people like certain characters and they might like it if you make one with their favorite.

Ok Jess, It looks great. You are so talented with costume design. Do you have any Mego Apes or customs you are looking to part with? I am looking for an Ursus, and Urko, as well as a few more gorillas. I gave both sets that UMCE released two years ago to my then four year old niece that absolutely loved them and had a great time undressing them and changing their clothes. Unfortunately they did not survive.

IM, How did you post that picture on that site? Are you the only one since you started the thread? I would like to join you in support, I just need to know how to do it.
