It was more difficult than I would have hoped. I don't know if that was because of the size of the image or what. I couldn't get it to work from my computer thru several attempts and finally was successful via my phone.
Usually its just a matter of clicking the "add photo" link and then browsing thru your files to attach the one you want.
I posted one on the link that you supplied And on the one that I had posted. For some reason I can't respond to the one on the actual NECA site Or even see the comments on the actual site I just get the email updates. As of now I have not seen anyone else post anything like I had done But hopefully more will join and keep it 1:6.

Well I know how to add to the page, just not to a specific thread. I wanted to add to your thread, not to the Neca cover page. oh well.

Today I took a few shots of my gorillas out on patrol, please let me know what you think, as I truly need honest feedback or criticism. Example I was told the 3 Shot below was not good because the gorilla in the background is out of focus, what do you think?

To me, the blurred gorilla would be nice to do a rack focus on with a slow push-in as he stepped forward. But that's just me. :huh

I kind of like the blurred look of the background gorilla but that first shot is my fave of that set.
As for loading pix into my thread? I've seen some of the comment sections show a camera icon that can be clicked on to add into the thread. I don't know how/why its decided where that icon shows up as it doesn't seem to always be an option.

I have sent a messge thru to NECA:

Good afternoon,
I understand that you have acquired the license for "Planet of the Apes". I could not be happier. As a fan of the series since the films were first released, and now enjoying them all over again with my children, it is indeed exciting that new product will be forthcoming.
We are slightly concerned though. As fans we have an existing collection of Planet of the Apes figures from what had been previously afforded us from Sideshow and Hot Toys. And, I know I am not alone. There is a large existing POTA fan base already established for figures in the 1:6 scale. I am aware that NECA used to make 12" items and I am asking that you consider returning to it again when you manufacture your Planet of the Apes line. I think that the detail that you put into everything that you do would be best in 1:6. I'm not saying that is the only size to be considered, or made, but I am asking, on behalf of ALL the existing Planet of the Apes fans that have 1:6 collections, customs, etc... that you do not exclude us when you produce YOUR versions of these iconic movie/TV characters.

Thank you for you time and attention.

Respectfully,

I urge everyone to also got to www.necaonline.com and do the same. Let them know we will support a 1:6 POTA line from NECA. This may be our last chance to complete our 1:6 collections with manufactured/licensed versions of theses beloved characters. Hopefully they will get to some, if not all, of the major characters we have not been afforded as of yet. Afterall, how many more companies might go after this license after NECA?

Sticks...

Whoever told you the pic was no good because the background gorilla was out of focus doesn't know what they are talking about. If you watch anything in film or TV today a very shallow focus is the norm. The days of the "Citizen Kane" deep focus are over for now, that is until it becomes popular again.

My personal feeling is that the shallow focus favored by most these days is a bit over used but it does have its place and there is nothing wrong or bad about it. By using shallow focus you are directing your audience to what is important in the frame and forcing them to look there.

As always great lighting and composition and poses. As I said before your photographs tell a story in just one shot. Is the gorilla in the background stalking the foreground gorillas? or is he backing them up? That choice is left to the viewer.

I can't tell how great it is to see your shots gracing this thread again, Sticks!

As for the second round of photos, I really liked the lightning in the first two shots.

And I don't think that the third gorilla being out of focus is distracting at all.

Boy, my son would love that mask!

Soon he will be able to wear my gorilla costume (the one I had signed by Mark Lenard back in the '70's) and he thinks my Don Post one kinda stinks... literally. :monkey2 :monkey2 :monkey2

I've been watching the classic Wonder Woman TV series - & just finished watching the 'WW vs Gargantua' episode.

It's about a giant mountain Gorilla that gets nabbed from Africa by the nazis, to get trained as a tool of destruction for the 3rd reich. They also get it to turn on WW, but she saves him & takes him back to Africa.

I swear the mask they used for the Gorilla suit was a Gorilla soldier from POTA.

Here it is: [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tWohAoci26k[/ame]

Head's a little high in the crown, maybe the helmets concealed it. :huh

What do you ape connoisseurs think?

Its been long known that the POTA makeup was used for Gargantua. Just an added bonus to watching that show.

Thanks Jess, but that is NOT Lynda Carter. The WW I would want would have a perfect likeness, body and costume.

BTW, anyone seen this auction:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Rare-Sides...tion_Figures&hash=item5658bef66f#ht_990wt_908
$349 for Caesar! Because of a slip of paper!! And Caeasr was one of the last released POTA offerings, yet the description says there is no "exclusive" sticker because it was an early release. No way then to be sure it's not just a regular with a printout added.

Another reason I am really hoping NECA does right by fans and makes some 1:6 POTA with their license.

Yeah, that doll is nice - great face paint detail, & not to derail the thread any further.. but HT can do Lynda Carter the proper justice.

Let's hope they get to her some day.
