Thanks Jess, but that is NOT Lynda Carter. The WW I would want would have a perfect likeness, body and costume.

BTW, anyone seen this auction:

$349 for Caesar! Because of a slip of paper!! And Caeasr was one of the last released POTA offerings, yet the description says there is no "exclusive" sticker because it was an early release. No way then to be sure it's not just a regular with a printout added.

Well first off the plastic backing does not have the slot for the paper poster so this is not the exclusive. I have contacted the seller and have advised them to correct their misleading description.

JJ and PZ, Thank you so very much. I have been away all weekend and will be gone for another week or so. I do look forward to taking more Ape shots as they were very fun to take, and I truly miss doing them.

lol. I wonder what you said to set him off.

Anyone know when we can expect to hear an update with the POTA line?

I told him it wasn't an early release in the series.
He replied that he didn't say it was an early release in the series but that, as it was 2005, it was an early release for Sideshow. Then he asked if I was interested in the item.
I answered him that his wording was unclear and that Sideshow was using exclusive stickers even earlier than Caesar. I also told him, politely, that I thought he should be aware of the facts onwhat he was selling.
Then, when he told me to bug someone else, I commented on his professional sales style.

Wow, he doesn't sound very nice. I told him that he was giving misinformation and that he should correct it.

I just bought Tonto by Neca today from ToysRUs. It was the last Lone Ranger figure and was hiding behind some other boxes on the shelf, maybe someone had intent to come back later and buy? Anyways I grabbed it. Nice figure but a little pricey. He cost nearly $20. He has ok articulation, his knees don't bend so that he could properly kneel. Also, his elbow joints only go to 90 degrees. He stands and displays well. I am not sure I would want the POTA license in this format. I do believe though that this will be the scale that Neca gives us. It just makes sense with all the other figures they have made. This scale also opens many doors for accessories but the hard sculpted look could be a turn off. I truly hope that Neca does something great for us Ape fans.

I've been watching the classic Wonder Woman TV series - & just finished watching the 'WW vs Gargantua' episode.

It's about a giant mountain Gorilla that gets nabbed from Africa by the nazis, to get trained as a tool of destruction for the 3rd reich. They also get it to turn on WW, but she saves him & takes him back to Africa.

I swear the mask they used for the Gorilla suit was a Gorilla soldier from POTA.

Here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tWohAoci26k

Head's a little high in the crown, maybe the helmets concealed it. :huh

What do you ape connoisseurs think?

Funny seeing the great actor Robert Loggia in this show as the criminal! Linda Carter grew up here in the phoenix area and her mom worked at the same Motorola that I worked at back in the early eighties! What a Hottie! Wish I could have met Linda!

Cool! :)

What's a Motorola?

In Australia it was a mobile phone brand.. :lol

Motorola is a semi Conductor corporation that is originally based out of Shaumburgh, Illinois and most likely made the mobil phone you are talking about. There are many out of China also! You got google, look it up!:panic:

Hi IM. Yes I did finish the sculpt of Dodge and sold the only cast. I am sure the buyer is very happy with it. He was just beautiful and the cast was so clean! Landon on the other hand is at a stand still. His face was skewed when viewed from below and I tried to fix him but I think I just need to start over. I need to just sit down and just concentrate on him but my schedule sucks until the kids go to school.

I just found this little tidbit regarding the new Neca line. I know a lot is already old news but there is an implication that these figures will indeed be 6"-7" scale. Unfortunately we will have to wait many more months before we even see a prototype of whats to come.

"NECA has acquired the Planet of the Apes license. This will include both the old and new films. Unlike the DC and Mavel 6" figure licenses, which are owned by Mattel and Hasbro, NECA won't be limited to doing just 1/4 scale figures, so expect at full line of 6"-7" figures to be rolling out some time next year.

No word was given on the possibility of a Astronaut Taylor figure just yet. It seemed that the initial focus would be on the various Apes."

Thats no good. We need to get everyone we know who are ape fans to unleash plea after plea on them so that they might realize that 1:6 should, at least, be considered. Hit them at NECA's facebook page, at their own website, anywhere they might see it and/or listen.

IM, you and I seem to be the only ones on board with this. Just tell me where you post and I will follow. Lead on General, Invade!

I'm genuinely AMAZED that here, in a thread all about saving and making 1:6 Planet of the Apes figures, that more support to have our voices heard by NECA can't be garnered.
Its a sad day in Central City. :monkey2

hey! i tried but failed to post on that Neca facebook page. i don't get how it works...too technically advanced for an ape....
