Angel, I finished the priest's purple robe, but I have to re-do:

After I hemmed the purple, it looks too short now with Dr. Zaius's outfit. :monkey4

(The leather pieces are not even glued on. I just wanted to see how it would look overall with the outfit.)

Moments ago, I just ripped the head off of the Caesar Statue in an effort to make it better. (I have a sickness.) The neck seems too long to me and requires shortening. It’s got to be right dagnabbit.

I "shaved and sanded" the bottom of his head and also plan on tilting his head forward just a tad as pictured.

Caesar Statue is just the best work I have ever seen...

Just exactly like the film... Incredible!!!

I agree! Ceasars Statue that Angel is making would be the ultimate conversation piece to display!:monkey5

Jess, that looks incredibly delicious. Brava and Bellisimo, my dear!:peace

Hasslein--forgot to answer your inquiry. I need to wake up my Lawgiver project. I have the dremel...but I also have to bang out a LOT of outfits that have piled up as high as an elephant's eye...

STICKMAN - I remember that style of apes door that you put on your model! Didn't really get a good look at it in your movie.

Identify the TV episodes, and the chapter, that you want screen captures of and I'll get them for you Sticks. I seem to recall you buying the POTA-TV series on DVD from www.buy.com so you can tell exactly what you want.

Nice memory Angel but I bought the movies remember, you told me the set had additional footage in Beneath.

It's the TV series, I think it's the one where there is a hit put on Urko by one of hid friends.? I vaguely remember that taking place in a gorilla house or something. Isn't the flag in that scene? I thinks it fairly early in.

Hi Adam! Gotta love that Apes structure! What a talent! I also love the Roman Legionaires and is the MAC computer an imac or emac? I used one just like that on my old job. You can take pictures of yourself from it.:monkey5:monkey5:monkey5

Thanks Kfog I't an IMAC, My little baby.

Angel, just practicing the President of the Assembly hieroglyphs...this is how I think I am going to be able to accomplish the look I am after: cutting up pieces of fake leather. I have to peel off the cloth backing though to make it thinner and look cleaner. I was just cutting it by eyeballing. I think it would look neater/more accurate if I actually drew the pattern first. I think it is really do-able! I might re-do the Armageddon hieroglyphs this way if you think Matt's glyphs are not crisp enough.

I have been mulling this outfit forever, it seems, and I think this is the way to go. Screw trying to sculpt it...this way the thickness of the hieroglyphs will remain equal.

I wonder also how much finer the cutting could be if I used a #11 exacto blade. I was just using my Gingher four inch shears which are super sharp to begin with...

I have been studying the orangutans for a bit now, getting ready for my President of the Assembly. I just noticed that the orangutans are the only apes that have foreheads. Anybody else notice that?

Jess - Please don't "re-do" it. I think it's absolutely perfect! You did a great job on it. Send me that one! I'll just shorten the Zaius coat. It's my opinion that the Preachers tan coat comes mid thigh on him anyways! See? Perfect!

I will box the items tonight and mail it to you tomorrow. I thought of that solution, too, but I didn't want you to think me lazy and I didn't want you to make any extra effort on your part. In any case, I now have a second preacher's coat which I guess I will keep. :D :banana

Here's a pic of my 1:1 project that I mentioned(& Angel guessed, lol)a while back.Still WIP but it's at a stage where I feel comfortable publicly post pics of it.I plan to "dirty" it up a bit giving it a more worn, rusty,& used appearance.

Well I took a photo tonight. The set is still completely raw and there has been no restoration done to it since last photo.

Very cool enaud! However, I'm thinking the spikes are at the wrong angle though... are they? My apoligizes if I'm wrong. Hey are you a guitarist or a bassist?:rock

I just painted Burkes new hair. I'm going to have to "re-do" it a 4th time:banghead, but not anytime soon. I was tired of astronaut Burke being headless... His hair is still to "poofy" as JJ once said, and I think it needs to be longer in the back, plus there are other problems. :(

(Practice, practice, practice.)

In the background is Dodge. He's also going to get a "re-do" at some point. Now I know how to texture his hair, plus he needs a nosejob and a total repaint with some shading/highlights.
