Two gorilla sculpts are drying as we speak. I have to figure out yet how to properly accomplish the eyes and teeth but so far I am pleased with them. They have sat long enough and demanded attention.
I am now searching to see if any of the paints I have will work for the chimps and orangutan that need painting.....

They aren't photo worthy yet. I want to finish up the chimps and orangutan (his colors plaquing me most) then post them together. Have to do eyes and teeth on the gorillas and chimps as well as the chimp hair and the whole orangutan.
Angel was right, so far anyway.
Simians = easier than humans.

Simians are just as hard if not more difficult than humans!! Zira must have 50 layers of paint wash on her.

Oh...a magnifying glass helps with the eyes...

Paint and paint wash are two different things, Ironman. Paint wash will give the paint subtlety...and paint wash does not show brush strokes.
