My son asked me what dogtags were for, since he sees me wearing my Planet of the Apes one all the time. I didn't really quite know how to answer him. I told him that for me, it's a fashion statement, but for the people who are sent out to war, it's a way of identification.

Guys do you ever get bored with your apes? Do you ever want to dress them in other costumes?

I love playing with Cornelius and Zira and taking photos of them doing stuff that I wish I could do...not necessarily ON the Planet of the Apes...like when they go on picnics or have BBQs...or wheeling around in their Vespa. Weather kind of sucks now, but I do want to photograph them again doing fun stuff!!

Whenever I get bored I switch my collection out.

One month it's POTA, another could be the American Civil War, Star Wars, Star Trek, or even WWII themes. I can never get bored.

Also, Jessica, I know you get a lot of info from the Mego Museum. Any word of new Trek, or POTA figures coming down the Retro Mego Pipeline? Any news is good news. Thank you. :D

Bored with them? No.
I do get frustrated when I can't get the piece(s) I want/need to complete something or when my painting is more error than trial though. If that happens i do move onto another genre sometimes, be it another sci-fi property. GI Joe/Action Man, or something of my own minds creation.
Even then though there are always apes on my desk.

I've seen the body and the clothes you've got ready. I've seen the painted heads of Reese. Add it all together and you've got the best looking figure in the terminater collection! (My opinion) ;)

IM - What POTA cards where you needing? I have a few more doubles.

Decided to finish the jewels for Albina's costume today. I really like the color blue in these. All of my mutants are now sporting these little gems.

Mark, those gems are spectacular! I love the blue. You are right--absolutely fabulous.

I purchased a dark chocolate brown swing jacket today at Ross. It is sleeveless. It's reminiscent of Zira's swing jacket from Escape, so I HAD to buy it. Good thing it was only $20...not bad for something that is 50% wool/50% polyester.

Gotcha!

I was bitten by the "POTA bug" today Jessica, so I'm being creative on several projects. Denise and I are also getting ready for a visit from my sister and her wonderful family. They'll all be here visiting for about four days. See ya soon Shomp! :)
