I am working on shrinking down the Zira Sideshow sculpt, so I need to resculpt hair on that...

And I just poured some liquid plastic into a mold of an expanded cast of Pete.

The convention is next Saturday, Sticks...so I've been putting together my costume a bit. Aw, crap...I forgot to look for my shoes. I may have to sacrifice my blue leather shoes...was hoping to find an old pair. My husband is going to drive me and my girlfriend to the convention, since parking is going to cost $50 for the whole day.

I'm sorry to hear about your current predicament Jessica. Maybe this Trek convention is just the thing you need to unwind and have fun. Re-energize your psych, you know? Too bad your husband doesn't like going with you, at least he could check out sexy alien babes. I like your store name. I hope you do well.

Can I ask you about the weight difference between the original MEGO heads and your new casts? Can the bodies support the weight easily enough?

It's funny, I always thought they were silver, but they could very well have been a shiny black that just looked silver when light hit it.

You guys are probably right.

Ursus, I love that picture. I think that's the light causing that, but I could be wrong. It works with silver. I watched Conquest a few times when PZ sent me a copy. Thanks again PZ! I'll have to watch it again when I get home.

Sticks--I guess I will have to see what the weight is of the Mego heads I am doing once I add the neck plug. It shouldn't make that much of a difference but then again, I'm not really into the Mego thing. I just like the size because it's small enough and they don't take room. So I'm not the expert. My goal is to make them look non-Mego. I'm sure I'd get a lot of boos from the Megomuseum for that comment, but my heart is in apes...if there was a better body available, and there is one in the works available from Zica Toys for about $10 in Mego scale, that's awesome, but the body still lacks the poseability I want.

I started bringing crap home from the office to my house. I had a box of body parts/heads. Mostly broken stuff, but I guess I purchased it for the heads to sculpt over them. It's amazing how you start with one thing and it evolves...who would have known I would try sculpting from scratch? I need to start putting these bodies together and I need to get rid of them. Why am I holding onto this crap? Oh yeah...I have so many dreams for them but I don't know if they can be accomplished. I think I have about 8 unopened Sideshow boxes stacked on my shelves at work. I'm bringing this stuff home slowly.

Anyway, started a second sweater set tonight and will probably finish this in a few days so I could post it up on Etsy. Get this, guys...my new work schedule at the slavemines is Monday and Friday. I get to d!ck around T-W-TH...but I really need to find another source of income.

Hi Jess! I sure do know what you mean! I was suspended for two days for something that I did not do and then they realised that my argument was legitamite, but it was too late. Two days pay lost for their incompetence. Why can't all of us be wealthy and enjoy our hobby. I will wish this to be true for all on this forum.
