That trailer was ridiculously awesome. Gave me chills.

As a huge fan of the series (and lesser extent movies), the trailer delivered. I know how trailers can be misleading towards the final product, but this got the job done for me and can only hope the movie itself is as good.

As soon as the crappy Enjoy the Silence cover started I had to close the video.

Some scenes looked cool, some like crap.

Yeah pretty much, and what's up with trailers having ****** generic pop music or ****** remixes?

I feel like this movie could end up being surprisingly good though, maybe we could get another Dredd 3D, maybe, I'll keep expectations in check.

people here would be up in arms if they made thor, or captain, or batman, or superman, or whatever asian because it is not going by source or what they've always known. i don't get the double standard here.

though i guess in the end she's a cyborg and can be whatever, so whatever.

I expected typical ScarJo when she was cast, that being said, typical ScarJo is not very dissimilar to what Motoko acts like in SAC.

She's distant and unresponsive in the 1995 movie, but in SAC she has a mildly quippy personality.

So fans of the series/manga have really absolutely nothing to complain about, us movie fans are making huge compromises though, which was to be expected.

People complaining about Motoko being white are dumbasses and have absolutely no clue about GITS.
