I like Besson very much but Valerian looks like Jupiter Ascending, and I liked JA but I don't think it warrants a "must"

Dude, its going to be nothing like JA. The Wachowskis are crap.

Besson is a Heavy Metal maniac that grew up obsessed with Moebius and Giger. He worships Blade Runner and Alien.

I have nothing but faith in Besson's approach to Sci-Fi.

I never cared about zion.
No one cares about zion. The war stuff as great as it looked visually was very dull. I dont understand why the directors thought we would care that much about zion......
So much time spent on charactets no one cared about as well, time spent on people no one wanted to see....

The best scenes of the movie ended up being the scenes inside the matrix and that was like 4 scenes or so.

Neo stuck in the subway... wtf i understand how important the conversation with the Little girl was for neo's understanding of the machines but that was a very sloppy way to do it.


The zion war is just sooo boring.......

They just didn't know how to approach such a huge story and that's why it failed.

I love "Assassins", "The Matrix" and "V for Vendetta".

Speed Racer might suck but if that movie is given a proper 4K treatment it will look insane.

I use that movie to show how 1080p when properly calibrated can look just as good as 4K.

It always blows people away when they see those laser sharp visuals.

Then the monkey comes on and I stop the demo.

Speed racer was too goofy. And too stylized.
Might as well be the real life version of the racing game in wreck it Ralph.

I know the cartoon was over the top but somehow the movie made it feel more fake than the cartoon
