It looks like they are mating in that picture.

I am guessing pregnant.

But fat is also a possibility along with possibly getting ready to molt.

Okay I'm no expert, but I thought scorpions stopped molting once they reached adulthood?

I should probably know the answer to that by now. :lol

But no, they're not mating. They were running from the flashlight and bumped into each other. :lol
I caught them mating a few days after introducing them to each other, and once again two weeks ago. So idunno

I've had the fat (pregnant) one for almost a year now..there are two males in with her and I've only had them for 3-4 months.

This is a pic of her when I caught her in August/September of last year. She's definitely bigger......

BTW, after finding that baby about a month ago I've found...

One squished baby under bar of soap

One baby on porch under trash bag

Two babies 6 feet away from each other skittering around in the living room

One VERY small baby under my recliner.

They really love eating the fiddlebacks. :yess:

They do stop molting when they reach adulthood. Are yours full adults? If so, I would definitely go with pregnant.

But they fatten up if they can and quit eating before a molt. So pay attention to whether yours stops eating for a long period of time.

Yeah, all of mine are full-grown.

The female always seems to hog the crickets from the two males. But she's never been this large before.

Pregnant seems most likely. :yess:

Any time I find a wolf spider running around, instead of killing it I throw it in with the scorpions.

It's amazing how powerful these scorpions are...they will easily take down a wolf spider two times their size without a scratch.

Couldn't get clear photos for some reason, but the black thing is the wolf spider's abdomen... :lol She had already eaten the rest.

Whata fatty

Just got the word that my chilluns caught me a Praying Mantis at the house.

I'ma have a whole damned menagerie of insect goodness pretty soon.:yess:

No way...these mantises wouldn't stand a chance against scorpions. They are too small. But Mantises are the one insect that I like more than Scorpions.

He lives.

I'm not even sure a small scorpion could kill a praying mantis. They are badasses.

I've never seen that!!! Wow! That bird must've been sick or something.

It's more common than I ever imagined! They hang out on hummingbird feeders to catch them! :(

Found this......yuck!
