They specifically said that only someone with the 10 rings could open the gate yet the entire village let him just walk right past them while focusing all of their attention on his minions that had no chance of opening the portal. And then to make matters worse they ended up getting defeated by those very same non-threatening minions, lol.

A hundred archers who spent their lives training for that moment and the girl who'd never held a bow and arrow was the only one to shoot at the actual threat, lol.
Maybe they were confused because in the comics they read they were actual rings, not bracelets lol...

I get that Abomination will be part of Ross’s Thunderbolts down the road but the part I didn’t get was why Wong was allowed to remove him from the Raft prison for friendly MMA fighting lol
Well, maybe he just portaled him out & back in without them even knowing. Or budget cuts and overcrowding led to the Raft's starting an early release program lol...

I enjoyed the bus fight, thought it had a nice tempo and cool music but was kind of surprised when the hero just started openly murdering the bad guys by throwing them off the bus, under the wheels, etc. I was like damn that escalated quickly. All they did was try to steal a necklace in broad daylight while others filmed them and uploaded to YouTube which is totally allowed in San Francisco right now. They even asked nicely so chill out Shang-Psycho, lol.

Well a few of them did try to decapitate him to make the necklace removal easier, so Shang-Chi can use that timeworn defense, "They started it!". :lecture

Regular human Banner?
Yep.

If that's the case could it mean the next time we see Hulk it'll be proper Hulk again??

Oh. It's not side by side with those films as far as quality, it just shared certain elements (well choreographed fights on crowded city streets like TWS with a lot of banter and more outlandish fantasy stuff like GOTG) that made me feel like it could have easily been released the same year as them.

Speaking strictly with regard to quality I'd probably put it right in the middle of the previous 24 or so MCU films. Not as good as IM1, Cap Trilogy, Avengers, IW/EG, GOTG by any means but more entertaining than most or all of the bottom half of the MCU. That's my initial thought after one viewing anyway.

It definitely had vastly better cinematography than most MCU flicks due to Bill Pope who shot Bound, the Matrix trilogy, Spider-Man 2, and Alita Battle Angel.

As much as I hate to miss the dragons on the big screen, I think I will wait for television on this one.

I have just lost my enthusiasm for the MCU after all years... and the recent Phase 4 muck that they've been pumping out as required by Disney.

Hoping that Phase 5 will go back to having a plan... and I hope it isn't Phase 5, 6 and 7... meaning, another attempt at a 10-year-saga storyline.

Seems like Banner, Captain Marvel and Wong are running the Avengers show now and are actively recruiting.

:lol

That scene has been gold for internet chatter even after all these years. Tobey's innocent face.
I know it really has hasn't it, lol.

You just the past couple weeks since the new Spidey trailer dropped I had my kids watch Raimi Spidey 1 and 2 just to give them background for when those villains appear in Spider-Man No Way Home.

When JJJ does his famous laugh both of them exclaimed "I know that laugh!!" having seen it so many times on Tik Toks and YouTube and what have you. It was like when I watched Casablanca for the first time and finally got all those Looney Tunes references, lol.

The other thing that really hit me after revisiting SM1 and 2 after so many years was just what a disservice the MCU did to the character by not showing his origin on screen. Raimi's SM1 just has so much more gravitas and poignancy that is so intertwined with the very foundation of who Peter is. My kids are 14 and 11 and had never even associated Spider-Man with the character of Uncle Ben until this very month despite having seen him in multiple big screen events over the past half decade.

When we finished SM2 and I then showed them the SMFFH trailer I expected them to flip out about the notion that the two film universes would meet face to face. All my daughter could say was "I feel like the older movies are much better than the new ones." Dang, lol.
