Ok so this has been mentioned a while ago... But does anyone know for sure... Is this just one way Godzilla will look in the film? Will he have different stages? I don't mind this design but I don't think it's a good look for an entire film. Anyone know for sure?

That's why I asked about the tip of his tail, was it designed that way for a specific story reason, will the new Godzilla spawn from there, is it holding his new DNA? It looks pregnant.
I know it sounds absurd but then again we're talking about a country where most things that come out of there only make sense to them.

It sure looks like it.
It's as if another creature will form from that point. I can see teeth and the beginning of a head, at the early stages of development, perhaps.

It would be so much easier to get behind this without the red. I mean the whole design is excessive, but the red is beyond the pale. This isn't Hot Topic; black doesn't have to be accompanied by red. If anything, it takes away the edge and makes it look like some contrived video game boss.

I dig the red. Looks like he's been burned up all kinds of nasty. The red in between his spines really sells how painful it could have been when they formed, puncturing out of his flesh and what not.
The tail makes me uncomfortable...can't decide if in good way or bad way. But I think Jye may be on to something with the tail being some sort of plot device...maybe they sever it and it grows into another Godzilla like an earthworm
