Should Hot Toys re-release Preds? Yes or No? Opinions?

Now, I was thinking the other day that the new Preds that are coming out like Berserker and Falconer are more life accurate when it comes to their body mass than the old figures. It would be a great idea if Hot Toys would re-release them in more life accurate body mass. Now, dont get me wrong, the old Preds are badass and look great, but they look kinda toy-like (in my opinion). I think it would be awesome if Hot Toys would re-release them so that other fans that missed out on them can get a chance to own them, as well. Also knowing that Hot Toys has come a long way since they started; year by year they have been coming out with more detailed and more accurate figures. Dont you guys think if they would re-release them, they would kick major butt? Just a thought....

While I don't agree with the re-release, despite the fact that the Special Bus predator sucked in the movie, the figure was awesome. Guess the same case could be made for the AVPs too.

HT knows preds sell but they want to branch into other lines so they make more money off us dumb addicts that buy all their stuff and call it great while the build quality goes down and half the figures break.

Definitely need updated Celtic and Chopper. Make them better than the original AVP's and the people who paid foolish amounts of money for them will have nothing to complain about.

"special bus" is a derogatory term that refers to public transportation designated for handicapped people. in this instance, the context is in relation to the predator from Predator 2, a creature renowned for it's defensive technology and fighting ability in the previous movie, losing a fair fight to a grumpy over-the-hill cop. this contrast of events emphasises the P2's inferiority to the afore mentioned P1. and so the comparison to a handicapped predator is appropriate.

Yup, Special Bus Predator. After getting his ass beat by an unarmed wheezy old geezer, he gets his hand cut off by his own disc, and rather than do the honorable mano-e-mano Predator finale, he turns and literally runs away, like a _____, back to daddy and his friends in the ship.

every time i read lame crap like this words i wonder why people like to discuss the movies they actually didn't watch.
start with "an unarmed wheezy old geezer" who is called to be the coolest guy in future-LA police forces which are actually military forces.
if you don't see it in the movie, though it is professionally made my script writers, director and actor, you could at least study the commentaries on special edition.
but no. a person who sees honors in P1 and old geezers in P2 will always discuss his hallucinations.
don't worry, you're not alone among other parrots who speak without thinking.

No one will convince me that the P2 was any less badass than P1. For every instance of the P2 running away I can point to an instance of the P1 doing the same. Combined with the P1s camo-sniping of almost all his prey I daresay he was more the chicken$h!t than the P2.

I have a new found love for P2. His mask is my favourite of any Predator ever. Sadly I arrived to the Hot Toys party late and missed out on both versions of P2. Come to think of it I remember seeing him on a store shelf years ago (when I was still at college and not earning) and didn't even give it a second glance after seeing the price

No, but clearly you're among the "Special Bus Fans" who fantasize there was more to it than you actually saw. Glover was ripped, but huffing and puffing after even the smallest action sequence (whether it was acting or not). And yes, Harrigan was unarmed when he bested the Predator and cut his hand off. And yes, the Predator did run away, straight back to the ship, to the safety of the other predators after having his ass handed to him by a single, wheezy old man vs. the P1 pred who nearly bested an entire Special Forces team trained to kill before committing nuclear seppuku. Did you even watch the ____ing movie?!

edit- well OK maybe not, I would lack the Predators ability to climb and leap from tree to tree but the point is, for him - he wasn't exactly giving himself much of a challenge.

P2 had the same type of hit and run tactics in the city, the same advantage AND better toys. What was his excuse?

It's not like the Lost Predators were going to ____ing help him kill Danny Glover, and he knew that.
Glover was the main target of the hunt in L.A. This was the big ending, they had both been fighting each other for a long time.
He didn't run away to the ship because he was scared... Come on man.
He wanted to kill the most formidable adversary of this hunt in front of his clan mates.

P1 never did that and he was perhaps more sensible for it, but since the accusation against the P2 is so often cowardice I think a strong argument can be made proving otherwise.

That last part is laughable. I don't believe that for a second, otherwise he wouldn't have engaged Harrigan but instead have led him back first. Instead, he fights Harrigan until he gets beat. It's at this point, he b-lines for the ship.

Hit and run tactics are different. P1 didn't shy away after getting shot. He patched up his wound and went right back into the hunt. He didn't run either, when confronted face-to-face by Dutch, despite the fact that Dutch had started hunting him. He fought until the bitter end. P2 on the other hand was willing to take on fully-armed combatants when he had the upper hand, but the minute that turned, and he got wounded, he runs like a _____ back to the ship.
