Should Hot Toys re-release Preds? Yes or No? Opinions?

I never really viewed the Predator as having much honor to begin with. Sniping victims who don't even know you're there? Setting off a mini nuclear explosion when someone beats you? Sore loser.

But I remember reading / watching the concept design of the Predator.

The creator said something along the lines of, "What if something hunted us (humans) like how we humans hunted wild animals"

If us, humans sniper'd a wild beast, would it haven known if we were there?

P1 got caught in the net then broke loose after a few spam plasma shots. Once he recovers he gets onto a tree ledge and shoots one of the log traps that swing and takes out the only guy whoes name i cant remember in the movie

I never believed it was actually the Predator caught in the net because they didn't do the camo-effect for that part like they always did any other time you see him in invisi-mode. I've always just assumed the Predator was up in the trees somewhere and either it was able to set off the trap from above or a small unseen animal happened to set it off and the Predator took advantage.

I haven't watched it back yet but my memory of the chronology of events is thus:

-Arnie walks out and pauses
-Arnie starts to turn back
-trap goes off
-some animal noise is heard
-net thing explodes up in the air
-predator, who is actually somewhere in the trees off to the left in the explosion shot calmly shoots at the swinging log trap which he had observed the humans set up or had figured out somewhere in the meantime.

If he actually got caught in the net trap and that animal noise was him, sounding rather panicked, how did he so quickly regain his composure to escape the net AND shoot the log trap?

Well, gonna watch it now.....

No, he gets caught in the net because we see plasma blasts coming from out of it. And it was the predator that squealed when he got caught up in it. I don't think the squeal was so much out of shock, as it was, frustration. Plus, didn't he tag the log trap that snags Poncho from inside the net?

Not to the child I once was. I simply have carried on making the same assumption about it as I did then. Not totally unreasonable either since they didn't insert the predators camo effect as they did in every other scene where we were supposed to know he was there.

If he'd been shocked, he never would've been able to bullseye the small vine holding the log trap, from inside the net.

There's a reason it's called LIMITED EDITION.
Re do it will negate the meaning. Variant perhaps fine but I don't see why. Although I don't have all old release ones I still think it's wrong if they do.

That concept is lost on people who collect NECA or have just moved up. Though I have a feeling if the 18" P1 sells out and skyrockets in value ($200 ), if I started a thread reading "Do you wish NECA would rerelease the 18" P1?", it would be filled with hypocrites.

I am totally agreeing on the fact that HT should re-do the classic predator, predator 2 and the elder on a better body. I love those Predators, great head sculpt and everything but hated that old body they used.

I think he means the classic pred from the original movie from 1987, and not the classic predator in the more recent Predators movie.
