I Really don't mind the other threads but these "re-release HT Predator" Threads really need to stop. There's a new one like every month!

Totally agree. How would you feel if you spent your time and money hunting sold out predator for expensive price but then they re-release that predator?! You will be so pissed. There's no way they can and should do that.

Like I said limited edition should mean something. Once it's sold out it can't be reproduces. As much as I want to get all predators already sold out it's still not right.

One got pwned by a human, one got decapitwnt by a super pred.

Did you even watch the movie? Dutch got owned by the predator, the Predator just got really cocky because physically Dutch couldn't take him. Dutch got lucky.

I just call him jungle hunter by the way, avoids confusion.

that would be a good argument if HT benefited from the secondary market. they don't, so try something else. and it's been pointed out several times that HT do remake/update figures (Dark Knight, POTC, etc). Predator just isn't a big enough franchise to justify the expense of doing that now. especially if they want to get around to bigger licenses. it's not because they're your friends and they don't care if you paid some deadbeat's rent on ebay for their products. they don't see a dime from it.

One pwned a Terminator/Super human before getting pwned by a tree trunk, the other got his ass handed to him by another similar sized Pred before he got decapitated by him.

A better argument, INTEGRITY. HT turns into NECA, their figures shoot from some of the most sought after collectibles into worthless, mass produced junk on the secondary market. Nobody will buy them for $250+ and they'll just wait until retailers liquidate them since there's no demand.

The licenses you brought up, PotC and TDK are two prime examples. You can toss IM in there too. Look how worthless the first runs of those figures are. The first TDK new suit should be fetching more and the only reason it's getting what it is now is due to a flaw in the DX suit. The first Joker's almost worthless. And the PotC stuff still rots on retailer shelves. The first MKIII suit can be had for below retail because of the BD version. When this type of stuff happens, businesses clearance out product and stop ordering. When businesses stop ordering, prices go up. Prices go up, people stop buying. You should really take a few business courses. Sometimes what might seem like a good way to make money can actually run you right out of business. Keeping things relatively small, keeps them selling out. That keeps the value in the collectible and also keeps the collectors and retailers coming back for more.

You gotta be kidding me. So far every Pred they have made has been sold out over and over. They make HUGE profits in Predator merchandise.
And do HT benefit from the secondary market? Oh yea they do. They produce limited items, which increases the value of their merchandise over a short time, which increases interests in collectors into buying all of them stuff. Hell, some people out there purchase Hot Toys just to flip them knowing that the value of MOST of their figures are guaranteed to increase. thus it brings them more customers and they kep a long list of loyal customers. Now say if HT just made and remade all of their stuff over and over, all of they're stuff would decrease in value over time. Then collectors will stop hunting for HT figures, and their long time loyal customers will stop buying their stuff feeling betrayed.
And the Dark Knight DX line was a punch in the face but it was made almost immediately after the regular line was made. I am clueless about anything PotC related so I can't and won't argue with you on that part.

Totally forgot to factor in the retailers and business point of view. Thanks for adding that in too nam.

POTC was a pretty weak line I thought...not sure why...at least compared to anything in "Aliens & Robots" category (based on my observation, don't have any solid evidence)

Dutch walked away the Predator didn't. Hell the Predator was a sore loser and had to set a bomb. What a baby.

I gotta say the last one left standing is the clear winner whether if it's luck or not. All fights and battles are unpredictable. A lot of battles and wars were won by shear luck sometimes.

Are people trying to say Scar, Wolf and Berserker are the most badass Preds?

I mean they are the only Preds to keep on going until something killed them.

Scar - died a 'hero' fighting the Queen
Wolf - Blown up by a bomb
Berserker - Sat there and took it like a bit#h

:rock:lol
