Not sure if anyone cares what I think haha but I voted yes. I use to feel that I wanted to protect my investments, I mean after all even cars have resell value, it's something you look up before you buy one haha, we aren't being buried with this stuff, but everyone should be entitled to enjoy the characters after they have been released and re releasing the sculpts help with that, the only thing I don't like is Yunsil doing the same outfit over, a different scene is one thing but the exact same, wether new fabric or improved design goes against the CoA from Rainman, also as sucky as it is when something is labelled as limited whether fair or not it should stay limited, the people paying for that item whether selfish or not paid with the understanding it was limited. That's not saying no one else can replicate the item, but the artists involved agreed to the "limited" tag prior and should respect that.

I'd agree with that part of it, assuming the tailor agreed to not make any further outfits. I don't know how that agreement works; I'd assume if something was amiss Rainman would have addressed it :huh

This only boils down to one thing and I don't know why you guys after knowing each other for as long as you have double talk and talk in circles. It's like some of you are scared to speak up. Let me make this easy for you.

The people that have the originals do not want you to have what they have they want theirs to be unique, valuable and limited. Now with the increase of technology and new artist some bashes are becoming equal or better than the originals.

A perfect example is the new interpretation butcher outfit by Iris, boots/hats from Robbie.I might have paid the 2,000.00 plus for the original Rainman at one time but not now. We all collect iconic famous characters every couple years a new breed of collectors will want the same figures there is no way to stop it. If you are collecting just to make money your best bet is to flip it when it's hot.

If Lee decides to still sell heads he needs to get a new system down there was a lot of errors in the last batch, albino hair, hats glued on backwards, shipments delayed. He is now not the only one in this business there are a lot of heavy hitters out now producing the same type of quality product, with unbelievable customer service. I hope he continues to do what he loves but I voted yes everybody should have a chance to own a piece of his art, a piece not all of it.

Well said! I voted yes and contacted Lee about Norman Stansfield head sculpt and he told me he'll release it again around January. I can't wait!

An intelligent man about 8 months ago posted this to me in a Rainman thread, little did I know the truth behind it . You know who you are.

Voted yes. Rainman can do whatever the hell he wants with his art as far as I'm concerned.

More and more Im starting to lean towards getting out of customs, and not because the value of my current figures are going down by new figures being released, I don't care about that, but more so the fact that "I pay" so much for these figures when they just get re released by another company (many times Hot Toys) with the same quality or better and for way less money haha, I could be saving a boat load! I am just going to wait and get the figure cheaper rather than spend so much money on customs, I mean Hot Toys nowadays cost around $250 (people ***** that thats expensive hahaha, they should know what customs cost) and the quality, box, accessories is awesome, why pay $1k for a custom with a plain box, no accessories that will most likely be redone by Hot Toys or someone else for way cheaper, therefor my selection on customs has been very selective as of late, basically figures I feel will never be touched by another company haha.

Thats because you're buying Star Wars customs Andrew :)

And now you're banned from the customs section with a comment like that lol

Hahaha 43!? Am I really? Im not quitting customs haha, basically just being more selective, like the 3 Django guys, no company will be allowed to make those so for me those are a safe bet, other than that I think I'm just on the Amsterdam list and Lobby Neo, so take your 43 and shove it guy!!!

WTF? The guys that have the originals don't want the newer guys to have it? :dunno Wow, anyone who believes this is SALTY! You missed the bus.......GET OVER IT ALREADY! It's a limited Edition peice of work, why can't people respect that for what it is? Are you mad because the few who own the original stuff don't want to sell you their figures for what you want to pay!! News Flash people!!!! A Rainman Bill will always be unique, rare and valuable......ALWAYS! There is nothing that will ever change that fact, no new sculpt or new clothing or new paint or re-re-re released sculpts.....Nothing. Stop trying to thread on people for what they have that you don't. Why is it unreasonable to suggest that Rainman just retire some of his work already for the sake of respecting what LIMITED means in the world of collectables and MOVE ON to newer things. It doesn't mean that any of these side projects can't continue, but why are most of them dependant upon a Rainman piece, or copying his design or using his tailor to get a project moving? What cracks me up most are those ongoing projects that are clearly using his work as a template to create their stuff only to shout out to the world that theirs is better!! :lol I'm no artist but I'd like to see some try doing theirs from scratch the way this man has consistently been doing it. This hobby is going backwards :lol. It went from kitbashing to Full Artist work-ups with original sculpture and clothing design, to Forum member x Full Artist collaborative Kitbashing :rotfl

For example I bought a Rainman sculpt from mj12. I had it painted by Rahmier84. I purchased the Iris outfit. I bought belt /knives from tinela and shoes from Robbie!

Hi,
Did you mean you bought a Butcher sculpt from mj12 or an Rainman butcher sculpt from mj12?
Just curious.
