I'm a hobby socialist... All for the masses... I have 90 percent of the full set Rainman releases. I could give a **** what they are worth it means nothing to me... The more that want these the more good stuff we will see... Everyone who wants one should be able to get one if you ask me!

In addition... The price is warranted for the Rainman peices for initial value sold. I justify that. I justify it because of the material cost, the time invested and the time in production as well as the artists hand. Detailed work takes time to do well. What's not right is that anyone should a) have to spend 5 grand on something that cost 800 dollars a year prior and b) Lee is not the one making the profit anyway. Had Lee had ongoing head supply he would be the one making the money off the ones that missed out which is the way it should be anyway.

It's the same thing Iminime should do... Heads should be avalible on demand and exclusives should be abolished... It's the only way to prevent 40 dollar recasts from showing up as well.

I have 2 DX and 3FS, 2H&C and voted Yes, does not bother me one bit, now if he reoffered the clothing and accessories then I'd have a problem.

I think some are confusing "wanting a RAINMAN butcher" to "wanting a butcher". There's a big difference there. The fact that RM has produced highly popular characters, I think, is the only reason that some go to him for his restocks. Where else are you going to find a Doc Holliday? Or Anton? Or the obvious, a butcher? And the prices that RM charges for unpainted heads? Even painted! Yes, people are gonna want his restocks. :dunno

THAT is when you should start worrying. :lol

C'mon, man...

As I stated from the get-go - Yunsil should not be revisiting previously completed and numbered with COA releases. It makes the COA of that release false and waters down the rarity. Its like Lee offering v1 belt or something - clearly questionable. Although, heads are not the problem. no coa comes with a head, it isnt a "release" and Lee offers them on every figure release individually anyways. Everyone knows what they cost and their availability. if someone wants a head in-between restocks, Lee offering once a year gives them incentive to get an official product at a fair price and not allow recasters to gouge the market. Lee has done restocks for over 2 years now and it hasn't affected values one bit, in fact it sets those real figures apart more from just having a bash + hs.

I think we can all agree that it is the selection of outfits by new tailors, and even retailoring by yunsil of outfits that is in real question here.

Very well said Anthony!
This only boils down to one thing and I don't know why you guys after knowing each other for as long as you have double talk and talk in circles. It's like some of you are scared to speak up. Let me make this easy for you.

The people that have the originals do not want you to have what they have they want theirs to be unique, valuable and limited. Now with the increase of technology and new artist some bashes are becoming equal or better than the originals.

A perfect example is the new interpretation butcher outfit by Iris, boots/hats from Robbie.I might have paid the 2,000.00 plus for the original Rainman at one time but not now. We all collect iconic famous characters every couple years a new breed of collectors will want the same figures there is no way to stop it. If you are collecting just to make money your best bet is to flip it when it's hot.

If Lee decides to still sell heads he needs to get a new system down there was a lot of errors in the last batch, albino hair, hats glued on backwards, shipments delayed. He is now not the only one in this business there are a lot of heavy hitters out now producing the same type of quality product, with unbelievable customer service. I hope he continues to do what he loves but I voted yes everybody should have a chance to own a piece of his art, a piece not all of it.

But there's nothing wrong with that. Why is that in question? Scott, Lee, Tinela, Iris, Geewhiz, have all made butcher outfits. :lol

I don't question new tailors making the outfits - I encourage it 100%. This is art.
Clearly the one who is complaining or whatever doesn't like the IRIS set, or none of this would be coming into question.
Yunsil repeating outfits is what I agree with is wrong.

I think she repeated an outfit once. And I think it was a misunderstanding with her and RM if I'm not mistaken. Will NOT happen again. But other than that, let the tailors make what's in demand. And let RM help these poor souls that missed out on the RM full figure.:lol

Which is why it's concerning Rainman. I think he's worried that the constant supply of his headsculpts are encouraging that.

If the new trend of making figures by established tailors and sculptors in 1/6 is going to be treated like a bespoke business than start offering figures on a made to order basis, but don't sell peopłe on the whole "limited edition" market scheme and then tax people a premium for that type of service. Where is the incentive for people who are genuinely interested in that type of collectable?

Glad to hear,
Cheers to that!

and I fully agree, I love seeing new projects come up and characters being considered by all tailors and artists, even if they have been done before.

Does it concern Rainman, or does it concern the owners of original releases? These items are not being replicated, it is simply a new take on outfits entirely.

Not as if I'm going to go sell my Brawler for $4-5k like FSV1 owners can.
It'll never be worth what Rainmans is.

Shortround, I have to put you on the spot here. You want collectors to have an opportunity at Rainman figures, but you have sold his figures in the resale market for exorbitant markups! Am I incorrect in that observation. You've consistently sold Rainman figures for thousands of dollars more than its original cost. How was that helping the fellow collector? Now your backing re-releases of the same figures you gouged people on. Let's all start being a bit more honest about whats going on. As effective as you are in getting things done, you haven't always had your "fellow collectors" best interests in mind.

OK let me break it down for you. Butcher, Wonka, Alex, and Plainview were the only ones I made money off of. The rest I lost on. Anton, Doc, and Travis. The ones I did make money off of, were from people that offered me a price. What would you have me do? Offer them the retail price? I'm sorry but nobody's that stupid. :nono

You're being a bit of a hypocrite JP. Come on dude. :dunno
