Is it me or did you turn the DX Luke antenna into a moisture vaporator?

Ha! No, that's just my first attempt at a moisture vaporator. I didn't know that the chiller bars actually lit up until I watched the movie again, and saw that they lit up at night.

I still have more work to do on it, but it's a work in progress thing. I've only been doing customs for about 3 months. :)

Man, I really love the look of the Marmits.
I really wish I could get my hands on a couple to customize.

I know, there's something about the Marmits that just look like the real thing. Although I admire what Sideshow has done with theirs, and all of my Sandtroopers are Sideshow, I had to customize a Marmit, and now they have become my favorite.

Very cool displays! I have 2 Marmit sandtroopers of my own SGT and Squad leader, but your sandies helmet slightly differs from mine.
Did you modify the brow on yours?

The display with the Dewback are all SS sandtroopers, the only Marmit I have is the one near the moisture vaporator. I only gave him a new paint, nothing else, except new abs from SS. :santa

Bones you need to post your recipe for the vaporator. It's friggin sick bro.
Thanks Jim! Next time I'm in Home Depot I will grab the info from most of the parts I used.

Mostly, it's just ABS, PVC and some random parts I found here and there. The hardest part was matching it to 1/6th scale. Just eyeballed it for the most part. I could have made the top more accurate, as well as the box, but I got a little lazy and wanted to try and make it my own...but now I am trying to make it more movie accurate. I'm stuck with a larger box because I have the electronics in there to light it up.

Wow!!!!!! the desert dio with the Dewback and the Sandtroopers is bloody awesome........the only way to improve it would be a Tatooine skyline backdrop or should i say twin sun backdrop:wink1:

Looks really cool man makes me want to finally get to work on making a dio for my stormtroopers. Will look great when finished up.

As long as your happy with it is all that matters and who really cares if your evaporator is movie accurate or not LOL. Its not like a friend is going to come over one day and be like "I am sorry to inform you but you are missing wiring and pipes here, here, and here and after measuring this is actually in 1/7 scale"

Which Sideshow Sandtrooper are you using to ride on the Dewback?

Hahaha! Yep, I really don't think anyone would say anything. It's just I know posting it on the forum will generate some appropriate tips. I am still working on the plumbing and wires...as well as the rest of the detail work. But it's extremely hard to find the parts or find kits to bash.

Anyway, it started off as an attempt to get close and make it art, then it just started coming together way better than it thought. I'll create a recipe and photobucket link so you can see some of my stages.

The best part is it lights up. That came later, after I watched the movie and saw they were lit up at night.....i was like.....:horror DOH...there's an added complexity. LOL.

Thanks MidnightClad!

:exactly: That's what my wife said....it's amazing I have her support. She bought me a Tusken Raider for Christmas too.

Decided to start a "little" Stormy display on my desk at work.... amazing how many different troopers there are available when you start looking! Worried I'm going to feel the need to track down a couple of each :horror

Got a Kaws Original Fake in the post :)
