Pipsqueak update!

So all the Meds and vitamins we are giving her are buying us some time and they have brought her toxin levels down. We have an ultrasound on Friday so hopefully that'll show us the problem without needing the MRI (though we will have toget one right before the surgery anyways but it'll be nice to know how bad it is now so that we know exactly how much the operation will cost).

A big thanks to a couple of members on here who have donated or gave information, it's greatly appreciated!

i just got a male puppy. About 6 weeks old.

ive read some ways to potty train a pup, but I would like to hear from you dog owners some methods that worked for you.

I just take them out A LOT and tell them to go potty and when they do, you love them up and make a big deal out of it. You see them act like they're looking for a place to go......take them out. If they start to squat, grab them up and take them out.

I've always had Shelties or collie mixes though and they're really easy to train. All my dogs were trained in one day.

here is Thor. He is 2 lbs. Dont know what mix he is.

:lecture:lecture Pretty much as stated here. Except its said that you should try to catch the puppy in the act off going in the house and then tell them its bad. If you find some poo later and point to it and say "bad" they just think you dont like the mess and not the action. They dont put the two together. It takes patients too. Some dogs are easier than others. Titus is being a pain in the ass but he is getting the hang of it I think. I had 2 husky yrs ago and one got the hang of it real quick but the other was a hard head.

i will try the suggested method next week. The vet said that my pup is only 6 weeks old so no vaccinations yet, therefore no walking outside yet. But right now, im doing the crate method and i think he is getting the use of it.

Yes, you'll want to crate him till he's broke, otherwise you'll have surprises.

He sure is a cutie with his little sweater! :)
