So wait, is that the exact same joint they resent out??

If so, it looks like they spent more money on printing new nice fancy colored instructions than on actually fixing and remaking/improving the joints...

It might look like the same joint, but what hasn't been mentioned is if the new joints function the same, better or worse. Once we have that info, then we can know if SS just wasted time not improving anything.

A collector mentioned that the replacement joints do make a huge difference. So probably they fixed it

Actually I can’t confirm as I don’t own the figure.
But I have seen many reviews and as I can remember one reviewer mentioned that you can’t

Some ppl did it with the original release. I have no idea how, so you might have to search the thread of the first release to find out how, unless someone remembers and mentions it here.

Got my joints today and though they look identical, they are ratcheted and can hold poses very well! I’m only disappointed in that I thought we were getting a fix for both sets of arms, not just the 2 arm version. I want better joints for the quadruped arms also and sadly that is not the case.
However, I am very happy with the fixed joints they sent and may just settle for this look now.

Glad they’re working! So are you saying the split arms are also floppy but the new joints won’t work on them?

Yes. I applied clear floor finish to the quadruped pegs and that works but it’s still somewhat floppy unless they are positioned just right. The new joints on the 2 arms hold extremely well and can support the added weight of the cape which I am a big fan of.

Exactly. Part of the allure of owning Grievous is for the 4 arm lightsaber look which makes him stand out from any other character.

Oh, well. I planned on fixing them myself anyway. I wish SS would have just shipped my figure out when they said they were instead of holding it for a tiny part that fixes a fraction of the problems to come in.

Do you think there’s a chance if you were to contact them, they’d send you another pair for the other set of arms? Odd that they only sent one set.
