Sideshow 1:6 Lando as Skiff Guard Figure

Wasn't this supposed to be part of today's Sideshow Live show on YouTube? I didn't watch the show, but surprised there's no discussion unless something changed with it.

I skimmed through the video, saw nothing on Lando. They’re really dragging this PO out.

Six months after preview and still no PO. If this follows the standard Sideshow trajectory, it's looking like it's going to be at least 18 months from reveal to in-hand.

Weird that they initially advertised him as part of today’s show. I wonder what changed that they didn’t show it today. I guess the wait continues. I don’t really need this figure, but I do kinda want it.

Sideshow is pretty much on-par with HT in outfits/weapons/accessories and Lando's almost always going to have the helmet on so I'm not too worried about a HT version of this but the wait still sucks. You'd think by now we'd be in a pattern of reveal, PO within a week or two, and shipping six months later - why that can't happen after all these years is beyond me.

You sometimes wonder if the super-early showing of a proto is just as much about staking a claim to rival companies than it is about announcing to buyers.

The more likely outcome with HT is that people will get an extra (surely very soon-to-be revealed) HT ESB Lando head to use with this fig - if they want a no-helmet version, even if I'm not sure many will actually want that for this outfit. The helmet is the coolest part of the costume, too cool to have half obscured in the figure's hand off to the side.

I’m not normally one to even be excited about a Sideshow figure, but I feel like this is one that probably won’t come anytime soon from Hot Toys so I’ll plunk down the cash for it most likely.

This and Leia Bespin where the 2 I desperately wanted from the initial reveals.

I cannot believe I have been able to put a deposit down for Krennic before Lando Skiff!

Strange hobby at times this.

Plus I've just always loved that badass staff of his.

It's a vibroaxe that's partly made from a 1980s hair dryer (the part right above Lando's left hand.)
