I'm kinda torn on if HT will do R2 anytime soon. Though it would fit with their 2 pack approach. I am sure it will be at least $50 more than the SS version. But will it be $50 of better??? That is the question if it even happens. I think I will take my chances and stick with the SS version.

I think you're spot on there. I'm sticking with SSC R2 as well. HT will make the droids, but I'm guessing at least a year. I think we'll see Leia, 1 or 2 Lukes, Fett, Sandtrooper & perhaps at least 2-3 more before we see HT's droids. But, ya never know...??

I highly doubt duplicate figures for at least a year(shipping) wise. As said many times is better for LFL /Disney.

Of course. I used the Artoo in my office and a sixth-scale Superman figure to test the fit. Figured the sixth-scale humanoid figures are pretty much standard, and the only thing most people don't have in-hand for a proper size reference is the Artoo. Took advantage of my unique situation to benefit a board member.

So did in-hand did Artoo seem to small for 3PO? Photos are always so hard to judge for many reaosns.

Black R2 units are seen with the rebels throughout battle of Yavin - briefing room, aboard a rebel fighter etc.

It's the reason it would be a cool two-pack.

That R2 pictured was an the empires. I don't be live the rebels had any black r2 units. I know there was a dark green one.

The dark green one had a white dome with dark green stripes, but there was another one (posted above). I'll see if I can find a screen shot.
