She used to model under the name Saffron Sinclaire, which sounds like one of those names that should give an awesome google search result but it does not.

Don't order it.

People hung up on the barely noticeable seem are the type of personality who are looking for flawless but determined to find something to dislike. Some people are more interested it what is wrong with a thing instead of what is right. I stopped watching movies with people like that.

If the seam is going to ruin it for you just don't. Maybe just find another hobby besides 1:6.

Sheesh, tough crowd on this thread. I was only kidding really. Once reviews and pictures started rolling in for this figure, everyone was cringing about the seam on R2's dome. We've come a long way since Hasbro's 12" line version from 1997. Anyways, I'm between R2 and Captain Rex as my next Sideshow purchase.

There are people in this world, and especially on this forum who aren't happy unless everyone around them are unhappy. It's a sickness and sad.

I know what you mean no matter how good a figure is someone nit picks the littlest imperfection. Some guys mean it, and some don't. But it is annoying.

Wow. I need to re-do my display when R2, C-3po or even Chewbacca arrives.

This won't do anymore...

What Chewie is that in the back? It looks like he's trying to escape.

Yep. Its from Kotobukiya. Its a 1/7 figure. With the soon to be release Chewbacca and C-3PO and on the way Sideshow R2. Its not gonna fit anymore.
Its kinda hard to find a proper display cabinet in my country. IKEA Detolf is not space efficient. Still seeking for something like this....

display cabinet sliding doors

... to fit figures and scale models.

R2 looks nice, should be tomorrow for mine. Didn't realize how small the medi was. This Droid was well worth the price, thank the maker!

A friend of mine that works on plastic injection told me that this was unavoidable if the dome have some components inside like the electronics/lights and the other in-cased parts. The dome's mold will be constructed in 4-piece/parts,so there will likely to have a seam visible on the injected piece.:lecture

Nevertheless, this is the best R2 figure to date and whether Hot Toys will do one...well, will never know yet. So I'm glad I got this one.:yess:

I don't buy that. The PF R2D2 is plastic, has lights and a battery compartment in the head and has no seam.

The seam's not a deal breaker for me, I just don't buy the excuses.

That's exactly how I feel too. Not a deal breaker by any means, but pathetic that they didn't make it without it.

I can't believe the yellowing on the Medicom R2, has that thing been in the sun? I have a 1978 Kenner 12" scale R2 and even that isn't as yellow as that haha.

The images of the item on Sideshow's site show that it was already pretty yellow when new.
